Who knew horses and people were so much alike?
Most of what I know about horses comes from reading many Dick Francis's books. So...I don't really know much about horses. But as an executive and life coach I do know quite a lot about people and leadership. I found this book very interesting in that most of what it has to say about the leader (the rider / trainer) and the one being lead (the horse) would be just as valid if you replaced "horse" with "child" or "employee". So to me this is a leadership book, despite having been written about horses. The book style is easy to read and understand, and reading is very fluent. Should be very useful to anyone trying to train a horse, or a person.

Not just another horse book!
I was quite impressed with this book. The ease of reading shows that Gabriele can connect with her readers. I also feel she has a strong grasp with the psychology of the human mind. This book doesn't just work for horse trainers and lovers, but towards working with others as well. Whether you have a horse, love horses, or want to become a better leader / teacher, I think this book is definitely for you!

I love this book! Well written and easy to understand and implement. The techniques in the book will definitely go in my wheel house. I’ve been following Gabi for a while and now I can use her book for a reference as issues arise! Contains good tips and information that every horse owner can use regardless of skill level!

If horses could write their book for humans, this would be it
Mind, heart, body Gabi covers it all for building the horse-owner bond. She could have written with the posture of an expert. Rather, she speaks to you as your best friend, your biggest fan, and your most capable coach. With each chapter I kept thinking how much frustration readers will replace with joy with their horses!

A Great Book To Share With Others
Fantastic and enjoyable book. My wife and I love horses and enjoy how Gabriele writes in such warm fashion. My good friend owns horses and his daughter will love this book, and I have recommended to him highly.

For those who's most important goal is to build a respectful partnership with their horse.
When I say respectful I mean on the part of both the horse and the person who cares deeply for their horse. I always hoped to find someone like Gabi to guide me through bringing up my filly and I'm delighted with her book. Gabi's way of thinking works with the horse to build trust and allows the personality of any horse young or old to shine through developing a true partnership.

Deep dive into horses...and people
This is a thorough and comprehensive look at the psychology of horses and humans. It’s peppered with great stories but the real value is the step by step guides that the author gives. Her lessons on leadership can be applied not just to horses but to parenting, business and life. It should be required reading for everyone who has a horse or wants one.
