I bought another brand that did not work at all. These are much better. Be sure to look at all the pictures the manufacturer supplies. Go for the higher number of lines, and choose the lens to puts the diffraction to the left and right, horizontally. Have the students note that there is no diffraction from a laser pointer because it is a single color.

I'm using them for a dementia training class. Works for my needs.

Diffraction grating glasses acts like prism when shining under the Sun. But its effect is more prominent than using prism.

Product is as advertised

Bought quite a few for classroom use to see spectra lines from atomic lamps. Cannot do measurements, but that was not import for the demonstrations.

I use these for spectroscopy demonstrations. The diffraction grating glasses split the light wavelengths into their constituent parts so it's easy to determine which "colors" are being emitted by the light source. These are "linear" meaning you'll get one axis. There are versions of these that create multiple axes (and that looks really cool... but not as useful for teaching purposes.) I buy these in bulk from time to time since they are basically give-aways. Buying in small quantities is too expensive when you're giving one away to each audience member.

I purchased these for my grade 4 students to show how refraction/diffraction bends white light into the full spectrum of colours. While they are inexpensive cardboard glasses, they work perfectly and looking at different sources of light gives truly awesome effects. I am as excited as my kiddos. Fast delivery, well packaged and super value for the money. Will buy again!
