Walkabout Adventure Outfitters Adjustable Hammock Strap

I just bought these last week to use with my cheap hammock. I paid the full 20 bucks for them unlike many reviewers, so here's my honest opinion: they're great.I really wanted something similar to the ENO atlas straps, and these are a very similar design for much cheaper. They come in a small cinch bag all wrapped up. I sometimes wrap mine after use but sometimes just stuff them in and they fit either way. The bag or the straps alone fit in with my hammock in its stuff sack, although my hammock has a slightly bigger bag than some.The straps are very easy to set up (if you'd like to see how they work, look up a tutorial for the ENO atlas straps) and they feel secure. So far I have not experienced any stretching. I believe I would feel very comfortable using them overnight or on a camping trip and if/when I do I'll update with how they perform.The straps are at least an inch wide. I would not recommend using these straps with a hammock with S hooks because they could definitely slide off. Nautical grade caribiners or some other secure attachment are the way to go.One complaint is I do wish the seller would say what they are made of and use more detailed photos. Also, if you're a lightweight backpacker these are definitely not an ultralight method for hanging. The straps are easy, but thick and kind of heavy.Overall I'm VERY pleased with these hammock straps.

I bought these hammock straps as reviews said they would not stretch and I didn't want to take chances. I have not tried them out yet, but they look and feel sturdy. They weigh a bit (wish I could say exactly how much) but I don't mind packing them as I expect them to be useful for many things as they have loops from a little less than half way (can hang other stuff off the loops). The synthetic black bag they come in is thin but sturdy material, sown on one side and bottom. The straps have no metal loops (see photo) but one large loop at tree end for looping through after looping around the tree. The loops to attach the hammock look heavily sown. All red stitching looks as if it is simply to add reinforcement strength. Loops are sown onto the main strap with much reinforcement stitching. Looking forward to trying them out soon.

Excellent Straps, they are very strong, easy to use, and hold my weight quite well. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because the straps could be a little longer, and because instructions weren't included. That being said, very simple to use and figure out, excellent quality, and the length is more than adequate for most forested areas. If you plan on hanging your hammock on a redwood, however, you'll need some longer straps. However, so far I've been able to hang my hammock everywhere I've tried to. Definitely a good value or the money.

Completely love these straps! They are everything I could have ever wanted in hammock straps! I used to bring loads of rope on every camping trip and always felt like I had to defer to someone else who knew a thing or two about knots before hopping into a newly hung hammock. Not anymore! These help me toss up a hammock in less than 5 minutes anywhere there are two trees, and they don't even have to be close together with how far they can extend. Genuinely one of my favorite purchases ever. They've made the top of my "gift giving" list because they are just that rad!

Awesome product! Very strong and easy to use. If you are looking for hammock straps but are concerned about the higher price, don't be!!!!I have used cheaper ones in the past, thinking that they would do the trick, and I must say, the cheap stuff is exactly that "Cheap". These are perfect, and you can definitely tell where that extra money went. As far as Browns Basement LLC goes: they were very fast to ship and everything was as they described. All in all I would recommend both the product and the company to anyone looking for safe and easy to use hammock straps.

We own 3 hammocks, each with different hanging equiptment- their use has been limited because of it. It finally dawned on me that there might actually be different equiptment out there. I ordered one set of adjustable straps and am impressed with both the production quality and the new utility application options they provide me. For now, we have a camping trip planned and will use one adjustable strap for each (two) hammock. This trip will determine if I will buy more pairs for my additional hammocks.

I just took these on a 50 mIle backpacking trip in the High uintas of Utah. These straps worked perfectly. These straps make it easy to adjust the tension of the hammock for the perfect setup. Attaching the straps around trees couldn't be easier. I found that for smaller diameter trunks you can wrap the strap around twice to shorten the overall length of the strap. While in use I noticed 0 stretch. The straps also held tight to the trees and did not slip. This is a must for simple, no hassle hammock setup!

These hammock straps work perfectly with my Eno Hammock. I was very disappointed with Eno to discover that they don't include the straps with their hammock and didn't make that clear when I bought it. So i was determined not to give Eno my business when buying the straps. These straps worked perfectly and they were cheaper than the straps Eno wants you to buy. I would highly recommend them to anyone that wants to hang their hammock anywhere. These straps are very versatile for any environment.
