Best type of pin holder by far.
I've used earing backs of all kinds and the pin backs that you squeeze to get them to lock and they all fail. These though work excellent and I've had absolutely zero issues. I use them on my motorcycle vest, I like pins from rallies over patches, and going down the highway doing COMPLETELY LEGAL SPEEDS, ;) they hold fast and keep my pins where I want them. They do stick out a bit though so I wouldn't recommend them for anything going against your skin. I think they'd be more comfortable than other options but I imagine it would get annoying after a while. My pins are over one of my breast pockets so there's a layer of leather in between me and the backs. Also, the location of mine are in a similar position to military pins so, if you're military, I'd absolutely recommend switching to these over anything GI. They hold well in high winds and have held up well to being rubbed against and caught on something. My dad's would lose the backs from time to time just sitting in the closet but with these I imagine you could just set them on your dress uniform and not have to worry about it.Long story short, I recommend these 100% and have done so in person when people commented on my pins.

A must have for pin collectors
A must-have, the lockability and ease of use are awesome. It will hold any pins, and they will not go anywhere.

They Definitely Lock!
These locking pin backs secure pins so well, my pins actually break off their posts before they come out of the pin back. Super easy to install, but definitely not easy to remove. I struggled for a while to transfer my pins over to a different bag, so keep that in mind.

These do exactly what you want, and they are GREAT at it. Read below!
Ok, first of all, these DO work with Disney pins. I have no idea what other reviewers are talking about when they say these don't work with Disney pins. I decided to bite the bullet and buy them anyway and I'm totally glad I did because they lock on so tight they feel like the locking backs that require the alan key, but if you pull them the right way they come right off.Honestly, these are an incredible invention. I've used these on enamel pins from Disney, as well as various other pins purchased in brick-and-mortar stores and around the internet and they work flawlessly with all of them.- I have never had one get stuck- I have never had one not fit on a normal enamel pin from any brand- They hold so tight, that if you could somehow only grip the base of it and avoid the small lip/cap that releases it, I believe you could tie a string to it and HANG OFF OF IT.I have a large collection of pins and I have both the screw-locking backs that require an alan key to tighten a set screw, as well as these quick-locking backs.I still use the screw-locking backs for pins that I have permanently affixed to backpacks, my pin trading bag, etc. At some level, those ones are stronger than these, while I'm pretty sure that the level at which there is a difference is far beyond the need of an enamel pin, I already had the screw-locking backs and I'm a nerd so I use them anyway for this case. BUT I would totally trust these in the same situation with all of my best pins.I use these for pins that I want to be sure to protect, but in places where I may swap them out more often because it's so easy to do.Since there seem to be a number of people that can't operate these properly I will also tell you how to use them, even though that information is readily available literally everywhere on the product page.Step 1: Push the back onto the pinStep 2: Do nothing else because it's locked on unless the pin back itself is defective but its a 100-pack so throw it away and grab another one.to remove:Step 1: Pull it off. Yes just pull on it. The end of the pin back that is opposite the hole has a raised disc where the diameter of said disc is larger than the shaft of the rest of the pin back so it's almost impossible to pull on it the wrong way.I cannot understand for the life of me how anyone is having a problem with this but for me they have been absolutely amazing and they're so cheap I've given handfuls of them to fellow pin collectors.5 stars!

Pretty good but be careful
These are the first I've tried so no expert. I'm giving them 4-stars because they certainly work and they are a HUGE upgrade over standard pin backs. The good: They are nicely made and they go on easily and lock with a bit of an extra push. They are not coming off accidentally. This is exactly what I wanted so 5-stars. The not so great: They're not easy to get off. The trick (sorta) is to only pull the cap -- do not pull the body. Pulling the cap requires strong fingers/nails -- and I expect some people are going to break a nail trying. Its hard enough you'll wonder if you're doing it right. (Hint: Needle nose pliers under the cap work too.)If you pull hard enough on just the cap, it will come off. Sometimes you have to work it a bit from one side, then the other. So they do work, but getting them off can be challenging. So think through where you're going to put them. If the back ends up in a corner of a bag or somewhere it is hard to get a good grip on, it could easily become a permanent pin. I wanted pin backs that hold tight so I wouldn't keep losing pins and these certainly fit the bill. They may be as good as any out there -- I've no other experience. But I did deduct one star because it would be nice if they were easier to use.

These actually work!
I bought these locking pin backs to keep the pins on my backpack and purse from falling off from everyday use. So far they work and have kept my pins safely attached to whatever I put them on! I feel comfortable enough using these pin backs on my favorite pins that I otherwise wouldn't use for fear of losing them. These pin backs are easy to use and don't require a tiny allen wrench and screws like some other locking pin backs. They are made of a quality metal that should hold up over time. The quantity of 30 ensures that I have plenty of extras in the future, and I can share some with friends who want to keep their pins safe too!
