The Hoodoo Tarot: 78-Card Deck and Book for Rootworkers

These cards are really unusual, not my usual style at all, but i decided to give them ago..So glad I did.. They come in a lovely box, and a beautiful hard backed book....he images are black and white, well it is called Hoodoo..The only down side is that the card stock is on the thin side, so you have to be careful when you shuffle..They readings are fantastic though, they tell it how it is!!!!!. If you are a beginner at tarot reading these cards are not really for you.. I saw these cards on U Tube, and ordered them straight away, they were on offer also....I ordered another copy a few days after they arrived, just so I had a spare deck... 😃

I find these cards are easier to read intuitively along with the historical information in the book. If you read them like traditional RWS Tarot you may get a conflicted read between your mind and your intuition. I am of mixed Jamaican roots and these cards open the doors to my Jamaican ancestors, now in the afterlife and their soul memories of when they were on Earth. I have no known connection to the Hoodoo tradition but the cards do open up soul memories of this tradition. VERY powerful cards that open up doors and also stir DEEP stuff up for healing if your ancestors were in chains.🙏🏽 Overall I would highly recommend these for connecting with your ancestors and healing of the soul wounds we inherit.

I have been drawn to these for about a year before buying whilst on sale. They are beautiful cards, the book is interesting and helpful. Nice selection of spreads to start off.

I got this recently and put it to use the same day. It is a great deck, very interesting and enjoyable to use. it is also incredibly expressive.

I love these cards, plus it comes with a big book to read the meanings and the different spreads to try out.

They are a whole journey. Embrace them.

Acquistato su Amazon seconda mano e sembrano nuove pagandole la metà del prezzo pieno. Devo dire che le immagini sono molto significative, alcune sono da brividi, altre sorridenti. Il bene e il male mescolati insieme. Libro, tutto in inglese, esaudiente. Difficili da fare stese se non partendo inizialmente con poche carte perché le immagini pur seguendo una traccia delle RWS hanno un aspetto che può indicarti altri significati (che poi potrebbe essere proprio questo il loro intento). Le ho acquistate più per curiosità del mondo Hoodoo e questo mi ha permesso di scoprire nuove culture, nuovi modi di vedere la vita (dura e difficile). Nel complesso un ottimo mazzo in una buona confezione con libro e quindi ne consiglio l'acquisto.

予約していた本商品。コロナのせいだけとは思えないほど再三にわたって「配送の遅延メール」が届き、半年が経過。忘れた頃にようやく買えました。単行本より一回り大きい箱に梱包されていて、各カードの解説が書かれた本(約150ページ)が付属しています(※もちろん英語なのでご注意)。ウェイト版をベースにしつつもかなりアレンジされているデッキですので、正しく使おうと思うと英語の能力は必須です。ちなみに自分はまったく英語ができません。紙質は「The厚紙」。単にハズレを引いただけだと思いますが、全体的に左上によれがありました。カードの収納スペース的に、輸送中に潰れたわけではなさそうですので、製造段階で生じた不良かと思われます(XVIIIが2枚入っているというミスも)。カードの裏面は、パッと見では正逆の区別が付きませんが、よくよく見ると色味など違っているところがちょこちょことあり、慣れれば一瞬で見分けられると思います(そもそも左上によれがあるので丸分かりなのですが……)。イラストは呪術的怪しさに溢れていて最高です！　イラストレーターのKatelan Foisyさんはインスタもやられておりますので、気になる方はフォローしてみてはいかがでしょうか。本デッキを使ったリーディングもされています。英語ができないので何を言ってるのかサッパリ分かりませんが(笑)。ということで、イラストに惹かれて買ったので、取り敢えず星5つです。

Culturally Significant Tarot for Multicultural BeginnersI’ve been given readings with this for years. I finally bought it for myself! yippie!!Each card is so beautifully illustrated and highly detailed. My favorite aspect is the accompanying book & its in depth explanation of each card as well as the bonus reading guides found at the beginning of the book.It is profoundly multicultural and significant to people of both African and Indigenous descent living in America. Each page is flooded with anecdotes and lore specific to the lives of descents of multicultural families in the American South and other areas affected by the transatlantic slave trade.Highly recommend for anyone just starting out as well as advanced root workers.
