I bought this at another site and want to give students of public speaking a heads up. Dale Carnegie was a great writer who wrote simply and to the point in a likable style. I have other works by Esenwein and I recognize him as primary author, altho Carnegie may have contributed if allowed his name to be used on this. . Esenwein is long winded, uses ridiculous quotes and poetry, and add readings that are irrelevant and boring. You have to weed thru excessive commentary to get to the principles. The whole book is tedious and frustrating. Esenwein was in love with his own words and mind. I do not recommend this book. Look for books really written by Dale Carnegie.

The book on public speaking by Dale Carnegie has been published and re-published dozens of times. It is originally written in 1915, so the language is a little bit difficult to read for a modern reader.Never the less, it has good ideas which are still true today.You will be immediately able to tell that the book is written by a British writer. For example, the author gives advice to "Practise, practise, practise!" The word is spelled "practise" when used as a verb in British English. The word is always spelled "practice" in American English.A final note: Amazon carries a very large number of versions of this book, make sure to do a search and pick the one with the best price because the book was written in 1915 and all versions have the same content.Ali Julia review

Das Buch ist so klein geschrieben, dass ich Probleme habe es zu lesen.Sehr ärgerlich, gerade bei einem Buch, das 600 Seiten hat.Ich verstehe nicht warum man bei diesem Buch so viel Rand gelassen.

Big margings, small fonts, different fonts, bad layout - i was not able to read it - wanted to return it and got reimburse without sending it back :/Cant read it
