GamakatsuFinesse Wide Gap Weedless Hook - 5 Pack - 1/0 Size - Black

This is the best weedless wacky rig hook I have ever tried but at almost $2.00 a hook I will keep trying less expensive alternatives. So far nothing I have found comes through the wood piles and weed lines as good as these. You still get hung up and lose hooks but far less than any other I've tried.

Weed guard works well. Haven't had too many issues with these besides where the weed guard attaches to the hook near the eye will eventually give. Doesnt seem to hinder the hook just something to keep an eye on.Hook is strong and sharp. It is my go to for wacky rig.

That's what my wacky rig Senkos look like even after dragging them through the weed mats. Every now and then I had to reset the weed guard, but for being so light it is surprisingly effective. It certainly didn't get in the way of hookups and these ARE Gamakatsus.I went with the 2/0 for 5 inch senkos and that seems to be a nice combo so that it falls slowly. I think if I were to fish larger stickbaits, as I will in February and March on our local ponds that I''d go with 4/0.I've used Gamakatsus for all of my freshwater fishing, from Alaska King, silver, and sockeye fishing to fishing plastics for bass to fishing beads for trout and steelhead, since the 1980's and they have never failed to do the job for me.The next hooks I buy will be Gamakatsus too.

Very easy to reset!

I caught many bass with this weed less hooked wacky worm rig! The bass went crazy for it. I choose a size #2

Very well made hooks.Strong and sharp.Great for wacky rigging!I use a 2/0 on a 5 inch senko or other similar soft stick baits though a 1/0 will work good too.I primarily fish Largemouth, Spotted and smallmouth bass.

Loved these hooks for structure fishing! Are sharp and had great luck setting the hook. Only critique is after 7-8 fish...the fabric started to break down which caused the weedless portion to slip down the hook. Would by again
