Best thimble I've used in 40 years
I've been quilting since 1976 and have used many types of thimbles. This thimble is the one I go back to every time. I like the ridge around the outer edge. My thimble finger has developed a callous just under my 1st knuckle because of all the years of quilting that will never go away. So when I get a new thimble I squeeze it a little with pliers to make it into more of an oval shape so it's more comfortable. If you think about it your fingers aren't perfectly round so your thimble shouldn't be either. The only downside to buying this online is that if you're not sure of the size the hole on the card it comes with doesn't help much. I wear a size 7.5 - 8 ring and the medium fits. If you get a large you can put a bandaid inside to make it tighter. I did that once and it was more comfortable than the smaller one at the time (that was before I started smashing them into an oval).

Just "ok"
I have regular size hands for a woman and thought the medium would fit. Wrong. It won't even stay on my finger. I just ordered a small so hope this one works. I had a metal thimble for years that I loved and somehow lost it. The metal was much nicer, heavier and brighter silver than these thimbles but it was also about 50 years ago that I bought it.Update: I ordered a second one because the first one was too big and just slipped off when sewing. I didn't bother to return it, just ordered a smaller one. My old one that I had for over 50 years was so much better. The metal was a much better quality. Wish I hadn't lost it. 😞

I think it's good
So I am a newly minted rookie at hand sewing (just patches on jackets). I don't really know how to use a thimble - but figured I needed one. This one doesn't fit on my thumb, but fits on my finger well. Basically I just use it to push the needle (especially the head) through the fabric - it saves my finger some agony. I haven't really been in danger of poking myself with the needle - so I'll just keep using it the way I have been. I think probably a lot of people get multiple leather finger caps instead these days instead of the old school metal thimble. Maybe I'll look into that sometime.

These thimbles work fine, but they just don’t feel like the same ...
These thimbles work fine, but they just don’t feel like the same quality of the thimbles of yesteryear. I have some of my grandmother’s Dritz sewing supplies and the old ones have a much better fit and feel

Pretty good
Well, it works well... just either a little big or a little small on all my fingers. I have thin hands though. Not crazy about the grid, I prefer dimpled thimbles... but I gave this a try and it does the job. Good for pushing hard on a needle as the grid sort of locks the needle so it is less likely to slip.

Not for small hands
Overall I guess the thimble is okay. However, it is very thin and light. Doesn't stay on my finger... maybe because I have small hands? I shall try another brand.

Perfect Fit
Just right for my thin fingertips (I wear size 6-7 rings, if that matters). The other sizes are just too big and kept sliding off. It's solid and durable and I can't do without it!

Size Small Can Work Well for Child-Size
I have small hands (ring size is 4.5), and have a hard time finding thimbles small enough for me. The small size for this thimble is actually almost TOO small! So I bought it for my daughters, who wanted thimbles of their own. They were perfect!
