Comfortable Trackball With No Bad Habits
I have been using a Logitech wireless trackball for years now. Cybersecurity measures at work in recent years has made installation of drivers for the wireless devices impossible. Over time the functionality declined to the point it was no longer useable. So I decided to go back to a wired trackball. The Sunwa felt a little awkard at first, I'm not really sure why, it's very similar in size to the Logitech, maybe slightly smaller. At any rate my hand adjusted pretty quickly and I really like the feel of the Sanwa trackball. It is very responsive, more so than the Logitech was, at least for the last few years. The Sanwa is pretty much plug-n-play. I plugged it in to a Windows 10 laptop, the OS set it up and told me when it was ready.Overall it's comfortable, responsive, and scaled to conserve desktop space. Being wired is not really an inconvenience, it works so well I can overlook the wire. It's not like I walk around with the laptop. It's a great device at a decent price point, so far I highly recommend it.

Worth a second purchase...
This is the second Sanwa track-ball mouse that I've purchased. I damaged the first mouse I bought by being too rough on the ball trying to take it out to clean. I jabbed the ball with an ink pen trying to take it out... and in doing so, I chipped it. Before ruining it, the ball worked very smoothly, and the right and left 'click' buttons that sit on the mouse are situated in such a way, as to be most comfortable. The mouse does so many different functions; the wheel tilts to scroll right and left, it is easi!y set to operate whichever way one would want. Very responsive, very smooth. The wheel will also roll however many lines that one sets it up to do so specifically. Like I said, I was too rough on the first one (my bad).. unfortunately, this mouse is not cheap, but I still liked it enough to buy another.. I will try to be a bit more gentle on it this time.

love my SANWA Wired Ergonomic Trackball Mouse
Only used for a week now but so far - I love it. Love the hot rod red color! I usually get logitech track balls but it is hard to find a wired one now - I used their wireless for a while but found I was making mistakes that I didn't know I was making, it was defective. Love track balls (the ball for the thumb) over a mouse. If you only have one screen a mouse is ok. But when using 3 screens you have to keep picking the mouse up and back down in order to get way over to the 3rd screen. Also, your wrist doesn't hurt after long hours of using it.

Replaced my M570, but Sanwa stops working fairly quickly
UPDATE 2: I bought a second one because I really wanted a wired trackball mouse and there aren't a lot of options. It lasted 5 months before it started doing the severe jumping again when using the scroll wheel. Going to have to switch to a different brand.===UPDATE: it lasted about a year and a half of almost daily use. Now the scroll wheel has become very jumpy to the point that it's almost unusable. I pretty much never used the three buttons on the left or the horizontal left/right scroll wheel buttons; I can't help but wonder if the scroll wheel would have lasted longer without them. You can basically buy 2 for the price of one M570 so the lifespan-to-cost value isn't too bad, but at the same time who wants to buy disposable electronics? And after opening it up it's obvious this isn't built to last.===I had the M570 for awhile; I loved the ergonomics of it, but was always frustrated with batteries and the spotty Bluetooth connection. Why a wireless trackball mouse? It doesn't move, just add a wire! Anyway one day I tried to clean it and picked up WD-40 instead of compressed air; that was the end of the M570.When looking for a replacement I was determined to go wired, so I picked up one of these and an Elecom thinking I could try them both out and have a backup when I accidentally destroyed my next mouse. The Sanwa and the Elecom are basically the same in feel/controls and both felt better in my hand than the M570 (though the M570 was more responsive when it worked). I do like the matte of the Elecom over the gloss of the Sanwa, but that's a pretty minor complaint. I think my Elecom was defective though because I couldn't touch it without right clicking, so now I'm 100% Sanwa. My one problem with the Sanwa: you can push the middle scroll left/right to scroll horizontally. I accidentally hit this all the time. On top of that it's inverted, so clicking it right scrolls left. So what typically happens: I accidentally scroll right, I remember the scroll button, I click it left to scroll left but it instead goes further right, and I give up and drag the bottom scrollbar over. I'm sure there's a way to fix this, I just wish it wasn't inverted to begin with. I'd still buy it again without hesitation.

Fonctionne bien

Trackballs are the best
Was starting to get sore forearms with a regular mouse doing CAD and programming. Switched to this a year ago and am never going back. Super comfortable and precise, and never has any dropouts or battery issues that I had with cordless mice. Since it sits in one spot on the desk, I don't see the need for cordless at all.Maybe not the best for FPS gaming since you have a tradeoff between sensitivity and precision when you set the DPI. No option to run lower DPI for precision and make larger physical moves like with a mouse. It's fine for casual games like Minecraft but I wouldn't say it's ideal for anything competitive (which I'm not anymore anyways). But for real work, it can't be beat.

Good for my tiny desk space
This is my first trackball mouse. Still I'm training to use it as well as I use a normal wireless mouse (I don't know how it is called). But my desk doesn't have enough space to use it. It hits note books, tablet, laptop.... Also I choose a wired mouse, so I don't need to worry about battery anymore!!

slightly small for me, but works well... so far.
It would seem that my old wired Logitech trackball mouse from 20 years ago is still the gold standard. I've had a few different ones from other companies over the year and so far, this mouse is pretty good. The mouse tracks perfectly, no sticking (provided you take the time to clean out dust and crud from time to time), and very accurate. My only complaint is that it's a bit small for my hands.
