Bought for vintage, regular mouth, glass lid, wire bale jars - perfect
Bought these for a large set of glass-lidded, bale wire mason jars we're using for spice jars. The seals are too wide and overhang the jar a bit, but wtfe. They're working great - keeps our spices fresh, the glass lid protected from the jar itself, and stretched to fit snugly on the jar mouths.

Does Not Fit
It does not fit properly on a ball jar. It is too thick so the cap cannot grab enough of the threads. Just for yuks i tried it with a standard metal lid with the insert and that did not work either. So it might be easy to clean (especially if you cannot use them), but over all it was a waste of money.

For glass bail lids
Gaskets are too thick for standard jar lids. They must be for the glass wire bail lids. I it by size as a seawater heat exchanger strainer cap gasket for my Volvo Penta inboard boat motor and it works great. Now I need ten more boats. (No dealer inquiries please.)

Non-standard use for this item
Used this to make a seal between a souvenir space-opera-themed steel tumbler from a popular rodent-themed resort and a brand-name replacement lid for the abominable brand's own 20 oz. tumbler...the souvenir tumbler had an approximately 85mm wide opening and I had a lot of trouble finding a suitable replacement for the original and apparently irreplaceable lid that had warped in the dishwasher...this seal does the job...the inside edge of the seal rides in the groove of the lid (after removing the lid's original seal), and the width of the seal is angled up toward the edge of the lid, forming a spill-resistant barrier when the lid is placed on the cup...there's just a small rim of steel cup that extends beyond the edge of the new lid due to the size discrepancy...yes, I REALLY wanted to keep that cup, or possibly I just wanted to solve a puzzle...anyway, mission accomplished
