I use the head lamp to walk my two dogs in the very early mornings. My walks are about 45 minutes and this head lamp is comfortable enough for that. However towards the end of the walk I do get a slight pinch feeling on my forehead. But overall a comfortable fit. Straps are easy to adjust.The button to turn on the lights and switch modes is perfectly situated and big enough to switch modes when two dogs are pulling.The battery pack is not to heavy and is curved to fit the back of the head. The little flap that covers the charger plug in seems flimsy, however it hasn't broke on me, yet. I don't know much about lumens, but I do know that it projects far enough out that I can see wild animals before my dogs do. And early morning commuters can see us. Just have to be careful when the light hits something reflective like a Stop sign as the light ricochet is powerful/blinding. But good when reflecting off the eyes of animals in the dark.Charges quickly and no problems. Not too pleased with the battery life. I have to recharge after each walk otherwise the next morning the charge is dead half way thru the walk. I would guess the charge on full illume lasts me about an hour +.Overall it is just what I needed.

This light is a great value and performs excellent! It is brighter than I expected and I didn't know it would zoom as well as it does. It projects a decent distance. I've worn it in the rain without any issue in performance. I wear it on my head or over a ball cap. It comes with a micro usb for charging. It recharges in a few hours and you can easily swap to alkaline or other rechargeable AAs. The charge on the included batteries lasts for hours on mid brightness. It's comfortable to wear and easy to throw on quickly and compact enough to store in my car console. The only thing I dislike is the silicone battery cover doesn't fit as neatly or snuggly as I'd like and that doesn't match the high quality of the build of this light. But, I haven't had an issue with the battery cover not staying in place or falling off or leaking, so it may not be a problem. Overall I'm very satisfied.

Overall very bright. Not as bright as previous versions but still works great. Use for hunting, fishing, work. Long battery life.

Focused tight, just below the point where you can see the square shape of the emmiter, the long range beam is quite powerful. I've used it to find animals well over 100 yards away, you can see a deer or a dog clearly, not just the reflection of their eyes.The wide area light is good too, very even distribution and bright. So bright I sometimes wish it had a "dim" setting.The headband is quite secure and reasonably comfortable, the battery pack in back is a good counterbalance for the weight of the light head.The red telltale on back of battery compartment is a good feature for use near roads, I wish it could be turned off or set to a slow blink though, light could be even better with those options.

I was a little disappointed when I first recieved this basic brown box. After opening it my opinions fully changed. Inside of the brown box was the headlamp, rechargeable batteries, power cord and instructions. The headlamp has a very nice design. The straps are fully adjustable to get the perfect fit. The battery cover uses a soft silicone flap that does not overly sweat or pull at the hair on the back of my head. The front of the head strap has a spongy foam that protects my forehead from the actual lamp. The lamp itself has an even weight balanced with the batteries in the back making it comfortable for hours of use. The lamp also has a clicking adjustment to be able to get a downward angle so I can see what I am doing without bending my neck for extended periods of time. The light modes go from super bright to dim to flashing. The dim setting is sufficient enough for me and I can get a 10 hour days worth of use out of it, off and on, without killing the batteries. The bright light is almost blinding if you work in an area with white walls. The flashing mode is nice especially if I ever end up in a position in an enclosed basement with no steps to let people know I am trapped. I am still nervous about recharging as the instructions warn specifically of overcharging. I have a smart switch set on a timer I charge all of my tools batteries in the evening for 4 hours when I get home so they are set for the next day and have not had any I'll effects or decreased usage times.
