Pretty sturdy for the price and will handle various sizes of paper/magazines.
I purchased these for storing crafting paper and paper pads. The design has both a pro and a con. Without a "top", the partitions are not as sturdy as I would like if the sections aren't full. The advantage is that you can use them to store different sizes of paper/magazines/etc. The 8 1\2 X 11 fits great and doesn't stick out beyond the bottom of the holder. The 12 X 12 does stick out beyond top and front, but it holds the size just fine. This size costs less than holders designed for 12 X 12, but due to the lack of a top or front partition, you are not limited to the smaller papers as with most units. I prefer storing vertically. It is much easier to remove a pad or group of papers and with units like this, the entire shelf of pads/papers won't shift and slide causing damage to the papers and my mood.As for putting them together, look at each section carefully. The grooves where you slide the sections are open on one end and a " stopper" at the other end. The back piece also has three tabs which must slide directly into the three matching openings in the bottom section. If you don't see the three openings in the bottom piece, you may have it backwards. Yep, I did that. Had to slide everything back apart and start over. I pay better attention now. If all the pieces are completely in, as designed, it is sturdy enough if you aren't rough with it. I would not use it in a classroom or a day care.

Easy to assemble
I've tried a few before settling on this one. Love the colors and how easy it was to put into use

Good for Easy Use
If you're going to put this in an office, DON'T! I use this personally in my room on my desk to keep my notebooks organized, and it works very well for me. It was easy to assemble and while it is slightly flemsy, it holds up very well considering I also have textbooks in it. However, don't use this if it will be in a place that gets lots of hand traffic and book traffic. It's not good for that.

Cheap Plastic - It Broke Upon Assembly
I like the item because it’s the only thing like this that I could find. I had a similar one 30 years ago that lasted forever. This one broke upon assembly with very minimal pressure used to push the side boards into the bottom board, and a piece of the back board chipped off when pushing it into the bottom board... again, using very minimal pressure, because it seemed so flimsy right out of the box that I was leery of pushing too hard on it. But... the assembled product is satisfactory, even with the small chip that broke off (?!!) but I wish the plastic was more rigid and less flexible. It will be fine for my purposes, which is to sit stationary on my desk in court to house file folders. I work in the Federal court system and this will work well because files will slip in and out easily due to no plastic brace along the bottom front like other file/magazine racks have. All in all, it’s a functional item good for my purposes, just take extreme care during assembly.

Works but a bit flimsy
It works well, so far, for what I bought it for. I was expecting it to be stronger. It seems a little flimsy.

OCD helper
We have a ton of workbooks since SIP started. All the learning materials were thrown on top of our bookshelf in heaps. I ordered two of these, took less thank 5 minutes to put both together for unlimited peace of mind- on less clutter field. Definitely worth it and have withstood a few weeks of hardcore daily abuse.

It’s fine if you’re okay with it being beige and bendy.
These are okay, but they aren’t white. The ad says white and the packaging says it’s white but it’s an olive beige color. It killed the vibe I was going for so it was disappointing but once it was built I wasn’t going to break it down again. It’s fine if you’re okay with it being beige and bendy.
