Excellent comfort and reusability
Update: In case anyone is not impressed by three weeks use without loss of stickiness, I thought I'd update. I've now been using that same one of these pads for approaching 6 months, cleaning exactly as described below, and there has been absolutely no loss at all of it's ability to stick firmly to my foot all day (BTW, I do wear socks over it). It feels just as sticky as the day I first used it.I had 2 surgeries on the same foot last year, the second of which was to repair a tendon the surgeon managed to sever during the first surgery :( As that second surgery was a major soft tissue repair I have had a huge amount of swelling - it has come down a lot but after 6 months there is still a significant amount. One consequence of the swelling is that the ball of my foot is a little enlarged and that has led to some discomfort in that area when walking. I've been using one (and only one) of these pads for almost three weeks now and have found it to be extremely comfortable (my ball of foot discomfort was immediately eliminated). One key feature is the ability to place directly on the foot, which means that you can easily experiment until you find the perfect spot for you (it only took me two tries). Another key feature is the reusability. I take the pad off when I get home from work, wash thoroughly with soapy water, allow to air dry for an hour or so, and then reapply the plastic backing that came with it to protect the sticky side from dust until the next morning. I walk to and from work every day (20 minutes each way) and the pad remains in place no problem. So far the one pad I have been repeatedly using shows no signs at all of reduced stickiness.

Didn't help Me
The product wasn't faulty, and in fact appeared to be of good quality, however, this product didn't really help my problem. I'm having pain in the ball of my foot directly behind my toes.I searched for something online that supposedly provides pain relief for that area of the foot. This product may work for other people, it just didn't work for me. I would probably have to say that it was too thick (about .2 inch) and just not soft or pliable enough to provide the cushioning that I was hoping for.I'm giving it a 3 because there's nothing fundamentally wrong. It just wasn't a fit for me.

Exactly what my foot pain needed for RELIEF!
In the past year I developed a painful neuroma on my left foot. I've worn orthotics or insoles for better than 15 years and still a double neuroma. Some days I can barely walk around the block with our dog. After watching Youtube videos I learned a "properly placed pad" will redistribute weight off the injured nerve. I placed the pad beginning as the arch declines forward towards the ball of my foot. Experiment for your best result. The first pads sounded good in the ad but were too thin to provide relief. These are offered in ⅛" and ¼". I bought the ¼" and WOW! R-E-L-I-E-F in a big way. I'm still keeping my foot doctor appointment in two weeks to learn my options before this neuroma gets worse.

Thick with sharp edges... not very comfortable
Like the title says.. these are pretty thick which is not the issue but the edges are very sharp which is as it feels like you have this very well defined piece of something under your foot all the time... not very comfortable.

These work perfectly
These can be placed exactly where you need them over and over again. I wash it with antibacterial soap each night and it is ready to go in the morning, sticky as ever! Can be used for weeks. Recommend putting a sock over it to help keep in place.
