Although I haven't used the smaller roll yet, the larger one, is outstanding! Just what the doctor ordered! It's been difficult to find 60/40 non-lead-free rosin core solder most anywhere since Radio Snack shut down. These little spools have a good amount on them, are small and are really handy to pack into a service kit. Good price too.

Just received this today and went to the bench for a test. Solders nicely and is strong. I bought this for my RC hobby. Works perfect for connectors. At 700 degrees it melts and flows perfectly for XT60, Deans and bullet connectors. Highly recommend. Will purchase again.

This is the perfect diameter for Capacitor replacement and other hobby work. As I have only ever used 60/40 solder I bought this in hopes its melting point was a bit lower then 60/40. Its not. That is on me for not understanding that 63/37 is actually a tad higher Tin content instead of lead. But its good solder. And cannot fault it for my ignorance.

It’s nice to have 2 sizes of solder to work with, but they didn’t put much on the spools. I already used some of the smaller size while I was replacing wire terminals in a battery charger, and it works well ... it’s easy to use, and it made a nice, tight connection.

Although having the rosin core is convenient to use, I found it hard to clean the rosin off of my stained glass work. I used the "flux" cleaner I normally use when I separately use flux then solder pieces. I literally had to scrap the rosin off with an exacto knife to remove it from my piece. Perhaps there is an easier way to clean the rosin off that I dont know about. This is the only reason I rate this low is the difficulty cleaning the rosin.

Prompt shipping, excellent/secure packaging/Good quality product. Two pack of different size depending on my needs. rosin core were used for electronics and gauge wires were for toys and tools. It's not for copper pipes in plumbing, Perfect as described by the seller. Price is very competitive. Can’t ask for anything more :-) It's a nice starter kit for amateurs and beginners.

Having 0.6mm and 1mm allows for way more control and variable application. Solder works perfectly and all bonds have been solid with no issues. Highly recommend.
