Very Detailed
Filled with details, very easy to read. This book really places the reader side by side with Bonnie and Clyde and evokes what life was like in the 1930's.

very informative
This book will let you in on the REAL Bonnie and Clyde, told by family members. It dispels many mythsregarding the pair, and gives you an idea of how it was to be related to them. I really enjoyed it!

Great read. Helps people know the people who Bonnie and Clyde were
This is a great book written by the families of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow and it was great to read about the people who Bonnie and Clyde were. As a true crime fan I have read plenty about the crimes committed by the Barrow Gang but I wanted to find books about who they were as people, not just what crimes they committed. As huge as their reputations are it's easy to forget that Bonnie Parker was only 23 when she was ambushed and shot to death by police and that her boyfriend Clyde Barrow was only 25. That's young. The young couple had spent the past 2 years being hunted by law enforcement officers all over the country and having to live like prey, hide from everyone and hardly ever get to see their families. They were in a serious car accident where Bonnie Parker was almost killed and suffered third degree burns on her leg and had to deal with recovering from a serious injury while living as a fugitive which would have been hard for anyone. Months before their deaths during one of their shootouts with the police Clyde Barrow's brother, Buck Barrow was shot in the head and arrested, dying in the hospital several days later and his sister-in-law Blanche Barrow was arrested and jailed. So both of them had anything but an easy time during the time they were fugitives but they kept going and stayed together until the end

Bonnie & Clyde
Interesting to read this from the families point of view. No matter what they did, Bonnie and Clyde were still loved by their families. Considering the era they lived In and the roads they had to travel, its almost a miracle they survived those 2 years together. They knew life was limited but they lived and loved while they could. And they always found ways to visit family,no matter what.My heart hurts for what the families had to deal with, knowing that at any time the two could be killed. The Barrow family had already lost Buck to death by police. It was only a matter of time before Bonnie & Clyde were shot like someone used them for target practice.

As if the family is speaking to you
This book is not so much a historical account as an attempt by family to humanize the famous outlaws. It is very fluid and easy to read. The book is a testament to “the other side of the story”. The side where Bonnie and Clyde loved, lived, and hoped despite the impossibility of ever having a happy ending.

Must read for anyone who wants the true nature of these outlaws to come to life
While their crimes where terrible this book gives you a great look at how Bonnie and Clyde personalities formed and from Bonnie's mother you get a first hand account of all their activities

A Must Read
What a great book. I have several books on these two people but this is from the families who met them often whilst they were on the run.Last chapters leading to the end of the book are sad. Although they deserved all they got, I still felt how sad all this was. They were both so young and had their whole lives ahead of them, if only they had chosen another path to lead. My heart goes out to Bonnie, who appeared to be a very talented writer of poems. Caught up in all this mess. All for her love of a man and she paid the price in such a brutal way.

I thought this was a great read, and really gave insight into the real ...
I thought this was a great read , and really gave insight into the real Bonnie and Clyde, not just portraying them as cold blooded killers.I like the anecdotes of the family members, they really painted a different picture than the one the police and authorities would have us believe.

Add to your Bonnie and Clyde library and you will have a lovely book
Definitely recommend this book. Is was written not long after the events and by people that where there at the time. Added to a Bonnie and Clyde collection of books in your library its not lost amongst the more detailed accounts. The book is about the family and how they felt, what the saw, and what they heard.
