What I expected Good value for the money

I've been thinking about buying this online for a while now. A local discount dept store, frequently has long lines at the checkout, and about 25% of the time they are out of the party size M&M. its no long economical, and its also a waste of my time to drive a half hour, wait in line for 20 minutes, and not even get what I want. In this respect, thank you amazon. The M&M's came early, are fresh, and I didnt waste any time or gas money. I'm not sure about ordering in the winter when they might freeze, or summer when they might melt. But this will be my go to when there are no temperature extremes. I do have a comment about their bag. Its light weight plastic. A while back, they put a zip lock style freshness seal in. I'd say the chances of the seal staying intact with the rest of the bag, and creating an airtight seal, are 50 50. A toss up. After carefully removing the very top, and applying equal pressure on both side of the seal, it still came apart from the bag. On the back side. Right above the brown M&M with the white chefs hat. Its about 2 inches of separation. They should offer an alternate seal. like a sliding sealer stick, where you can lock the top of the bag. It could be made of metal or plastic, sold separately, and used over and over. and then take the inner seal out, and reduce the cost by the amount saved by installing a zip lock seal that many times doesnt work. Its a waste of plastic. There might be as much plastic in the seal, as in the rest of the bag. Cut your packaging costs in half.

A decent price for these BUT when they arrived and opened them, they had an oily film covering all them. Yeah, it's been warm but only in the 80s around now. None seem crushed or broken so I guess heat during some point in transport caused them to 'sweat' oil. Still taste okay and no I'll effects after eating some and the bag WAS sealed so I took the chance. I've ordered bulk M&Ms in plastic containers and nevered had this problem.
