not perfect, but good
i liked the idea of not having to see the mouse once it gets trapped... my only complaint is that, if you accidently trip the trap (very easy to do), you can't set it again... it's useless... i prepared 12 traps, and accidently tripped three of them... so i still have nine... but i hate the fact that three of them are garbage.

Great Mouse Traps without having to deal with the Mess
This was the first time using these traps. I placed 2 outside by my sunroom. I didn't check the traps everyday because of snow, when I was able to check the traps within a couple of days it said mouse caught in the 2 traps. I was doing my laundry in my laundry room one night and saw something from the corner of my eye. I screamed because it was a mouse. So I set 2 humane traps the ones that you catch and release but didn't find any mouse in the traps, even though they were left out for several days. I looked all over my laundry to see where a mouse could get in. By the back of the dryer where the aluminum flexible duct goes into the floor there was a big space where a mouse could fit thru. Also by my air conditioning and heating furnace I notice a space in the floor by the pipe. I called my handy man and he replaced the duct with a new one and also filled the space with a foam spray. He did the same with the space in the floor by by furnace. For another deterrent I put stainless steel wool around the hose to my washing machine because I know that mice can't chew thru that. I set new D-Con traps thinking he still might be in the laundry room. NO mouse showed up. I'm thinking that he probably is gone somewhere. He didn't dare come into the kitchen because I have 2 cats. A couple of days I went into my bottom bathroom cabinet drawer and saw several of my efferdent tablets eaten. The mouse's stomach was probably bubbling for a couple of days. I filled every space that I could find around the pipes with the stainless steel. Everything was good for a couple of days. no mouse droppings in my drawer. Just went in that drawer today and noticed that a small tube of antibiotic ointment was half eaten. It says right on the tube if eaten call poison control. Well I was not going to call poison control for a mouse who thinks he superman. So I put one of the D-Con Traps in the drawer and went to check it a little while ago and it said mouse caught. So my mouse will no be eating anything again in my bathroom drawer. He went to Mousie heaven and in the garbage. I will be putting another trap in there in case he has a partner in crime. I glad I don't have to look at them and feel bad but he should have not come into my house in the first place.

Got those mice!
These traps work great. After finding the traps appearing to have worked, they were so lightweight that I thought they may have sprung shut by mistake. Made my husband pry them open to see if we really caught anything. Sure enough, 3 dead mice. I used peanut butter as the bait. Have set a few more around the basement and garage, but it looks like no more mice for a while.

These are pure JUNK - d-Con Engineering has degraded their quality
I've been buying these traps for many years. They are expensive for a mouse trap, but their ease of disposal is the selling point. Over the past few years, I have started to see their quality reduced. They are noticeably lighter than they used to be. Over the past year or so, I started to have about 30% of them break upon winding. That was annoying, but not enough to complain, though I should have. Now, the latest traps that I bought here on Amazon have been failing at a much higher rate - At least 50%, and yesterday I had 4 out of 6 break upon winding. I wound them very carefully, resting on a flat surface, and each time I thought I was about to hear the "click" of the trap being set, I instead heard the trap break inside at the pivot point in middle of the trap. The pictures show where they consistently break. They immediately become junk when you hear that sound. I bought 24 of the traps in my most recent purchase. I'm hoping that d-Con will revert back to the way they used to be made, because someone is pinching too many pennies on their manufacture, and they really should be recalled for inferior quality. The latest traps were marked with a "TM20328" sticker on the bottom. I would have shown all 4, but I had caught a mouse in one that didn't break, and when I wound the replacement, and it broke, I stuck it in the same bag as the one with the smelly dead mouse, and I had only experienced one trap failure at that point. I saved the next 3 that are in the photos. I would not recommend buying these until d-Con fixes their quality issue.

Worth your money
I think these are great. I initially chose them because I needed some for the kitchen and didn’t want poison in the area. This is a standard snap trap inside a plastic container. Easy to add bait (I used peanut butter) thru the bottom and just leave in a location along a wall on the floor. It has an indicator to tell you when there’s a mouse inside, then just toss the whole thing. Sometimes it takes a few days for them to take the bait, but they do work wonderfully.

D-Con No Touch Mouse Trap
My husband put some right out and the next day had caught a mouse. They are set and ready but so far, nobody has decided to check in. As the weather is now starting to cool down, I'm sure we'll have more visitors. Easy to set up and the best part is you just pick it up and throw it away. No fuss, no muss. Will buy more when the time comes.

Caught a few mice
Caught a mouse within an hour. I wish it came with bait, you have to use your own.

Poor quality control - 5 of 12 bad
I read the reviews and knew is was likely some would not work. They are about half the price of a local brand so I went ahead and purchased. I bought a 12 pack and 5 don't work. They are sending replacements so it isn't that big of a deal to me. However, they still don't warrant a good review since the quality control is so terrible.
