🔧 Gear Up for Adventure!
The Alloy USA Axle Locking Hub Kit is designed for Nissan Frontier, Pathfinder, and Xterra models from 1990 to 2004. These manual locking hubs enhance 4WD performance while improving fuel efficiency in 2WD. Built with a hardened nylon center and impact-resistant nodular iron, they ensure durability and reliability in off-road conditions.

2002 Nissan Xterra
The OEM auto hubs finally went out on me and I wanted to upgrade. YOU WILL NEED SHORTER BOLTS for an 02 to 04 Xterra, probably for other years as well. That's why I gave 4 stars. My local ACE had the exact match as far as size and thread pitch in the appropriate hardened steel. Don't recall the length but if you're somewhat savvy you'll be able to figure it out. Only locked them once for a test drive around the neighborhood but seem good so far. Definitely like how they run absolutely free and have actually noticed a slight increase in mpg because of it. Time will tell if they hold up.

they look sharp on 04 Frontier
I think these hubs look sharp on the frontier. engaging and disengaging them is smooth and easy. and installing them is simple. I have not had them long, but did find some mud to go play in, and they seem solid so far.I called the company and they were responsive and seemed eager to help, so I believe they would honor the warranty without too much trouble.I would have given 5 stars but there are no gaskets or parts available for these hubs so if you have a problem with them your only option is replacement. I will change the rating if I start having problems with them.

Excellent upgrade!
I put these on my 2001 Nissan Pathfinder 4x4. What a difference! So with these unlocked driving on the street your front drivetrain and cv's is now completely disconnected, and no longer rotates like it does with the automatic hubs. The vehicle drives much smoother and gets better mileage. I wish I did this years ago. Also when in 4x4 and locked there is no slip and it works much better. I have stock wheels and was very happy that the stock center caps fit over these hubs also.

Easy installation on 2004 Pathfinder
I thought the installation was very simple, they fit perfectly inside the factory wheels. I would have liked to see them come with new snap rings instead of bolts for axle side because I didn't end up needing those-but snap rings would have been useful. All in all its a good product so far.

No Rugged Ridge for my Xterra
I purchased a set of these hubs for my 2001 Nissan Xterra. First test drive was down the highway to the mountain bike park for a day of fun before there was a loud grinding sound from the front of my SUV. The hubs apparently had difficulty turning/rotating because there was a lot of metallic residue inside the hub when I took them back off. This startling noise happened anytime I drove over a change in concrete, such as an overpass or even a crack in the road, and would turn heads with other drivers. It would not last long, only seconds, but was very loud. It was so consistent that I knew each and every time this loud noise would happen commuting to and from work. Locking the hubs resulted in eliminating the noise, but would make the half shafts rotate which felt like driving a tank. I have since put back on the OEM automatic locking hubs and have had no issues in weeks. I have had Mile Marker and Warn hubs in the past on other vehicles with no issues, all installed by me. Based on my experience with Rugged Ridge, I do not recommend these hubs.

Xterra
These fit my 2003 xterra. I had a loose wheel bearing on one tire. When I opened it up I boogered the round metal spring in the auto hub. The 4wd still worked, but I decided to try these for good measure. Install was easy enough and hubs lock good. I even routed out a little on the hub cover to fit over these hubs. Looks almost stock.

Good product
Ordered for a 2004 Nissan Pathfinder R50. Product looks of good quality and well built. The screws will be replaced for others of a higher grade steel . All pieces came with the order.Overall, good product.Update: Dec 1 / 2,012Milles per gallon increased around 10% (city driving). That translates in my case, to around US$ 300 in savings per year. Worth it's price just in fuel, not counting less wear on moving parts.
