RegattaKids Holcombe IEP Walking Boots

After my old walking shoes finally fell apart I wanted a fresh pair which would also not leak. I also wasn't prepared to fork out £70-90 for the latest design. I thought these shoes advertised as waterproof would fit the bill and ordered a size 7.I was impressed by the quality and fit. They are roomy enough to wear with thicker walking socks and ordinary cotton ones too. They haven't let in water as yet and also look pretty smart on. They are sturdy without being overly heavy (one reason I prefer lo rise to boots). The soles are wide and give good support.Very happy with these.

10/10 buy so comfortable and durable and have used them on multiple hikes and not had one issue it has been an amazing investment and will certainly buy these boots again as and when my first pair give up the ghost

I wear these when I go out hiking with a friend, usually whenever he asks me which isn't often. Maybe a few times a year as I am a lazy hermit recently.When I do go out though they keep me dry and are somewhat comfortable. I say I am lazy but to be honest when we do go on a hike we walk for 6-8 hours usually around 15+ miles. I once did this after an 8 hour work shift too because I am crazy like that. By the end of the day I was too awake to sleep because there is an odd thing I have always told everyone, the more you exercise the more energy you get. So although I was actually knackered and in pain due to all the exercise that day my mind was too active and I couldn't sleep on the night haha. Not that this is the fault of the shoes.Back to those shoes, the fact they can allow me to walk that long is pretty impressive. I have nothing to compare to above this price range and I doubt anything would be much more comfortable but who knows? Expert walkers might be able to tell you that but I assume any shoe you wear for around 6-8 hours of hiking is going to cause some pain/discomfort. Just like sitting in a chair for too long will give you back pain.

I'm writing this review after two weeks of intense use, and I aim to update it six months down the line too.After these two weeks during which I walked over 80KM in these boots, and spent close to 12 hours or so standing on my feet with a heavy backpack, here are my likes and dislikes:LIKES:-1. Very comfortable boots straight out the box- I did have to break them in a little bit, but they weren't unduly uncomfortable till I did. Better experience so far than with most of my other shoes to date, some of which were much more expensive.2. Fit perfectly- I'm a size 10UK, and that's what I ordered. The boots fit perfectly, even though my feet are slightly wider than normal size 10(s).3. Remain comfortable after very long walks- The boots remain comfortable even after walking 15KM or more. I haven't experienced any foot fatigue so far, and no foot pain at all.4. Thick and grip well- I haven't felt any sharp stones or such on my walks, even in areas where I would have with previous pairs. The boots have an amazing grip, and didn't slip even when crossing slick stones over a brook. I was the only one of the group who got through without issues, so that speaks for itself.5. Warm and waterproof- They aren't kidding about that. The shoes are warm yet ventilated, and completely waterproof (so far). I even splashed around in a few puddles and walked through some wet mud to test that, and my feet were dry inside.6. Easy to put on and take off- Unlike some other boots I've had, these are easy to slip on and off.DISLIKES:-1. Laces slip easily- The laces on the boots tend to come loose/undone at least once or twice a day, no matter how tightly I knot them up or which knots I use. They're easy to take off after a long day, true, but it's a bit of an inconvenience the rest of the time.That's it from me for now, I'll be back in 6 months to update this review (if I remember to). As of right now, I give these a huge thumbs up!

Usuall wear and 8 but size 9 in these are great if your broad fitting. Really comfortable and feet don’t slide . Snug fit and warm .

Great price, comfortable and waterproof. Can't think of a negative!

I bought these in a size 5 predominantly for walking my dog over various terrains including roads, woods, fields and beaches. Initially, on the first time wearing them I found them very rigid and not very comfortable. However, I warmed them on the radiator for 15 mins before putting on for the first few walks and they were much better. They have eased up as you would expect when breaking in new shoes. They do keep your feet very cosy. I usually wear with normal socks but room for thick socks too. I have wide feet and they are accommodating. I also have planta fasciitis in my left foot so every step use to be agony but these have really helped and I don’t even notice it anymore. I have been out in all weathers, rain, snow, sleet, through wet grass and my feet are always cosy and dry. Finally, the grips are very good, even on icy pavements - much better than any I’ve had before. Would definitely recommend but don’t be put off it they do seem a little rigid to begin with (wear them round the house too to help break in!)

great shoes, very comfortable, fits size perfectly.Personally, I think it is beauty as well. it is also a very good price.

I am a hvac tech and can’t really find comfortable shoes for work until I found these. They are sturdy, support my foot, water resistant and comfortable.

Good quality hiking boots but not true to size.my advice is that you choose one size bigger.

I needed a good shoe to do a lot of walking and light yard work on our property. These are deceptively a very sturdy show and provides good support.

Als fervent wandelaar kan ik na enige tijd en een hoop wandelingen aangeven:1) dat de schoenen erg goed om de voet zitten2) dat ze voldoende steun en grip bieden op zowel harde als zachte ondergrond3) dat ze ook bij erg lange wandelingen aangenaam blijven aanvoelen4) dat ze op drassige ondergrond geen water of vocht binnenlatenEen goede koop dus, een merk om zeker te onthouden.
