Get the original!
We have a much-loved original game that has become worn. The nature of game play for Ruckus is a little tough on the cards, alas. But worn cards are the sign of a game that is good enough to play over and over. This game is great because non-readers can play.We wanted to get a replacement set, but the new artwork was different and had a right side up - while the original could be held upside down or right side up and it didn't matter. So we held out until we could find the original version again.

Good fun for all ages
Easy game to learn and great family fun. Younger kids can get the hang of it really quickly. A fun family activity.

Fast Paced Game
I was looking for a fast paced game to play with my 10 year old son. After reading the reviews I decided to give this one a try. This game is similiar to the blink card game. Like blink there is no turn taking, and we can play a hand in less than 5 minutes. This is great because it allows us to spend a few minutes together doing something fun right before my son goes to bed. We don't bother keeping score; whoever has the most sets at the end of each hand is the winner. The only thing that has been awkward for us is the dealer is supposed to deal each player a card after a few seconds has passed without anyone making a set. With the dealer, usually me, looking at his/her own cards to make and steal sets the other player is sometimes waiting to get a card. My son will go ahead and pull his own card. He says it's a fun game. And for me, it's a good way to have some fun time with my son during the busy work/school week.

Great for the whole family
What a great game for a family. We play with some amended rules with kids from 3 to 8 and actually have fun. It can be hard to find a game that is easy enough for the little ones to play that still keeps the attention of the older ones and adults. At first there were hurt feelings when stealing the sets but they get over it quick on their turn.It teaches matching, manners (please may I have, thank you) and counting (your scores). We had my daughter's kindergarten teacher over and she said she'd like one for her classroom.

Fun & Fast
My husband played this with my daughter before I had and when he told me he "liked" it, I was amazed. He usually only tolerates her games but almost never "likes" them. It is easy to learn and easy to play. Best of all, it's fast! The only thing I didn't like is the point system, the first person to get 75 points wins. You can accumulate points fairly quickly, so it only takes a few rounds (maybe 4 rounds, but they go fast) but you need a pen & paper to keep track of points. We decided to play by rounds instead of points. First person to win three rounds wins, this way we don't need to count pionts. A similar game is BLINK, which I like also.

Easy to learn, fun for all ages
I bought this for my seven year old son who loves it. It is now his favorite game. He picked it up quickly and it has the added bonus of actually being fun for grownups as well as children. There is no 'waiting your turn' and it really helps my son pay attention to detail. My four year old can help with the matching, but the speed of the game is beyond her. No reading or specialized knowledge is required. A hand lasts only a minute or two, and as luck is a large factor in who wins or loses, you won't have to slow down your play to ensure that the children win from time to time. Since the game is just a deck of specialized cards, it is a great 'purse game' to tote along for those moments in restaurants and doctor's offices when children need to be entertained.
