Worked great. I had no trouble with the app on iPad Pro 9.7
I used this with my iPad Pro 9.7. I downloaded the app using the qr code in the booklet. I held the button down on the otoscope till the red light came on. I then went to the iPads WiFi settings and chose the new network. I don’t remember what the name was but it was obvious. Once the iPad connected to the network, I opened the app and there was the image. The app is super basic but it works. When you want to take a pic, just press the round button on the otoscope. Or you can tap an icon on the screen but I found that didn’t work as well. I didn’t try to do video so I’m not sure how to do it. The Teladoc doctor was impressed with the image I sent him. I though it was gross as hell. :-) And no, I’m not posting it here. :-) I’ve bought a few brands of these otoscopes from Amazon and this is the first one I’ve been happy with.

Good clear picture
I frequently get ear infections - am allergic to something in the water here. I love that this allows me too look and see if the pain is just a routine ear infection or if it is something worse that I need to make an appointment for. It’s very easy to use with my phone and gives a nice clear picture. It charges by usb so no batteries to deal with. I wish I had this when my boys were young so I could check to make sure their tubes were still in their ears.

Amazing clarity and ease of use
I purchased this item to check out the ears of an elderly relative who cannot hear a thing and refuses to go to the doctor. I'm hoping to be able to get her to let me use this to see if her problem is just years of built-up ear wax. But of course, I had to try it for myself. I scanned the QR code in the instructions, which took me to the Apple Play store to download the app for viewing on my iPhone (I have a 6s). I installed the app, powered the unit on, found its wifi address, and started up the app. Got amazing visual images, one of which is attached (sorry if I gross anyone out, but this one shows what kind of image clarity you get). The LEDs make the tip get warm, but not uncomfortably so.The unit has four identical tips that slide over the endpiece where the lens is, and they allow you to manipulate the device in the ear canal to get a good image. Also comes with a microfiber cleaning cloth.I think this is a great value, but what is missing from the kit (what some other kits I have seen have) is a tool that attaches to the endpiece to extract ear wax while looking at the image. Its utility is limited if you find ear wax but cannot safely remove it. I guess you can purchase a separate ear wash kit, but I think this kit should be able to do it all.The battery is rechargeable using any USB power adapter that can accept a USB-A plug, or directly from your computer.Pros: Excellent photo resolution Can take photos or video with free phone app Works with iPhone or Android IP67 rated camera endpiece, allowing you to wash and clean with isopropyl alcoholCons: No ear wax removal attachment (1 star deducted for this)Overall, it's a really cool tool that can help you assess what's going on in your ear (although if you don't know what you're looking at, it may be less useful).

Clear up the blurry picture
It does get dirty easily so be careful not to touch the lense with fingertip. If you do get earwax or fingerprints on it, I have found a moist lens wipe cleans right up. That was difficult to learn and I struggles with a constantly blurry image. But once I figured it out, I could finally see a clear picture! Customer service is seriously incredible! Very responsive and incredibly helpful in a very efficient manner, so much so that I was quite pleasantly surprised! Thank you for that!

Needs better instructions!
The set-up instructions are almost non-existent, but finding my ear drum/membrane was MUCH more time-consuming.The app wouldn't work on my phone, so I had to find an older junk phone and the app worked on that one, for some reason. Both were Android. I had to experiment with pushing the button, holding it down, pressing it over again to finally get the red light to stay on to connect to wifi. I couldn't tell you how I did it though - it just worked on one of the button presses. I don't even know how to turn it off. If you press and hold the button, the red light goes off and the blue lights eventually turn off too. I don't know if that's how you're SUPPOSED to turn if off though.Once the wifi was connected and the app was working, I used the camera and "protective adapter sleeve" to look inside my ear. For about 15 minutes all I could see was my ear canal, hair, and some wax. Then it got really blurry and I couldn't see anything. It occurred to me that maybe I got some wax on the lens. I used some alcohol to clean it, and it was much better. I also finally realized you have to yank your outer ear back really far, and then cram the thing in there to be able to see the drum/membrane. I got this to screen my toddler for ear infections (so we can avoid the germy doctors office if at all possible), and there is NO WAY he is going to let me do that to his ear. And there is also NO WAY you could do that to a sleeping child and expect him to stay asleep, like the photo shows. I do think their ear canals are shorter, so maybe that's what makes it work. But I'm not holding my breath.

Blurry picture- Not worth it
I am trying to figure out how this is a five star product. This has the worst picture quality. When used in my ear or mouth I can faintly see where items are but not enough to tell there is an issue or even see detail. I have a son that had a cholesteotoma and multiple surgeries along with a grafted ear drum from cartilage. This brings its own host of problems when it comes to perforations and ear leaking/infections. I thought this would be great to get ahead of the game on identifying when his ear is having issues but no luck. I will be returning and I do not recommend wasting your time or your money.

Great device!
My son loves for me to use this so he can see inside his ears! The attachments that go on the end of this are sturdy but seem to block the view of any wax removal in the ear. It takes a little getting used to the view of the camera on your phone or tablet because It does appear upside down, but the picture is very clear and the battery lasts a good while. I use a lavage to wash the ears out and continue to view back and forth to be sure The wax is gone.
