Pros: Why use this product? * Some tobaccos with a relatively high tar content can cause an un-filtered cigarette to tar-up and seal-shut killing all airflow, an essential element of combustion... These tips will prevent tar buildup and tar-jam. The thick paper tips absorb the tar somewhat like a paper towel absorbing water. The result is a clean smoking experience without tar stained fingers or lips, and a smooth even drag throughout the lifetime of the cigarette. * Some tobaccos are pricey, these tips prevent common waste. How? The tip insulates your fingers from the heat so you can nearly smoke-it-all. * If you are a long time tobacco smoker you probably have some clips, stones, or pipes to help hold the cigarette when it gets tiny, yet all such devices become obsolete when using a filter. Filters are helpful. Cons: I wish the mfg offered an electric roller-folder for these gems. Usage Tips: I prefer the narrow folds method (.10"). Why? Rolled filters expand as round tube with a large bore. Sometimes tobacco will come down the round filter tube while you are smoking and go directly into the lung. Conversely a folded filter will expand with many uneven gaps creating far more interesting visual pattern and a surprisingly effective blocking device for small debris while allowing consistent airflow. It works seriously well... How can you create a folded filter? Create a tube by successively folding the filter paper. Start with about 1/10 of an inch. Each fold will be slightly wider the the last. The resulting filter will look mostly flat. The folded filter will unfold on its own without provocation, but it will rarely unfold evenly and completely. You can facilitate even expansion and unfolding if you squeeze the folded tube by its flattened edges. The result looks somewhat like a square tube. The squared tube will expand and unfold quickly. As the square tube unfurls lots of small baffles are created by the juxtaposition of the flat surfaces. The resulting filter is quite functional. Summary: I highly recommend this product.

They’re legit and good, but not leagues over raw blacks. While yes they CAN burn slower, the paper crumples a lot easier and the tiniest bend causes a wrinkle. (Can also make it a bitch to roll sometimes) That directly increases porosity, so while some joints will burn slower, the ones you had to be a little bit more forceful with might burn faster than a black at first. You can actually taste your herb with these though, that’s the main noticeable difference between these and raw blacks. Good papers, they’re worth trying out to see if they’re for you.
