Brush cleaning screen just like Bob.
Great addition to my painting inventory, cleans brushes while separating sediment from thinner allowing for more use of thinner and longer brush life. Excellent product would recommend everyone who paints have one.

Definitely worth it
I'm very happy that I decided to purchase this. It's larger than a silicoil so it's more convenient to use. I haven't found any good container that it fits perfectly in, but right now I'm using an old metal can that used to hold ink for a printing press. I found some scraps of wood to wedge in the gap between the screen and the side of the can so that it stays in place. Definitely worth the price, super convenient to have. I would recommend find a container with a lid that is safe for use with paint thinner (#2 or #5 plastic or metal) because it takes a lot of thinner to cover this and even if it's odorless, there are still a lot of fumes of you have the can open while painting.

Good Stuff
Used to be able to purchase a screen for this purpose, these apparently the only ones on the market at this point. It works well, fits inside an empty metal coffee can (those hard to find anymore as well). Not a huge fan of the Bob Ross marketing program, but the screen is a good thing.

It Cleans Brushes Very Well
Drop this screen into thinner, mineral spirits or water, rub your brush across it and the brush is cleaned. If you have a large thick brush, like the 4 inch Alexander Art brush, you will have to move it back and forth across the screen for a little longer. Although the screen works well, finding a container to put the screen in is a pain. I finally found a plastic container at Home Depot that works. Gallon paint cans are too large and the screen, which is very light, moves around when you try and clean your brush. It fits no Mason Jar that I know of, even the wide mouth kind. I've heard it will fit a coffee can, like a one pound can maybe, but I can't confirm it. Once the cleaning screen is in a can you can leave it until the residue from the paint builds up to the top of the screen. I clean my containers out after every session so I don't have the build up problem. If you allow the sediment to settle while using mineral spirits you can pour off the clear product then put the residue into an old can or jar, open to the air, and let it evaporate. That will leave the bad stuff behind in your old can and you have the clean stuff to wash your brushes in. Paint thinner doesn't go bad so you can use it for years. IF you can find a proper container this screen will work well. The reviews say the Bob Ross container falls apart after a year or so, thus, I think it is best to find another container for the screen and the brush cleaning liquid. AD2

As advertised
I put it in a 1lb coffee container and a 32 Oz jug of thinner covered it perfect. Makes brush cleaning easy.

A got to have
the Brush Cleaning Screen is a must has for your bushes but especially for the larger bushes to get oil paint out from in-between the hairs.

Collects paint
If I am not careful to check it regularly, the paint collects on it so bad that it's almost unusable. Not sure what can be done about that, unless you have a larger bucket and bigger screen. Not very impressed with it.

Love the brush cleaner
Brush cleaner adequately cleans brushes, but you must have the perfect size container to fit it.

Quality Brush Cleaning Screen
Does exactly as specified from Bob Ross with full effectiveness. Worth the £10 odd pounds. It is: - Made of a good quality material and coating for prolonged use (no need to replace it). - It doesn't bend/snap or corrode when subjected to paint thinner and the paint when you brush against it. I've been using this since I purchased it about 2 months ago without any signs of defects- all I have to do is clean it after a while as the paint deposit sticks to it inside the bucket and then it can be used again and again for future painting sessions. Now I would say that this would also work harmoniously with the Bob Ross easel, if you are truly enthusiastic enough to invest the money for it as well. Just put the bucket in the circular cut-out in the shelf that it sits on and you'll be ready to go :)
