My chairs (I ordered a matched pair) arrived adequately packaged in large boxes. Two of the chrome end caps for the tubing were missing on one of the chairs. I called Baxton and they shipped replacement parts the next day - "excellent" service !"This is a good chair for someone who is cost conscience, but still appreciates "classic modern" - (this chair was originally designed in 1925). The chrome has a good polished finish and the strapping is strong, but has more of a vinyl coated look and feel. The chair's tubing is very close in appearance to the original with the exception of a slight angle difference on the top, back bar. It may not completely satisfy "the purist" - but, it doesn't cost $2,000 either.

The chai arrived earlier than anticipated. The box was banged up and the chair had no packing around it. Never the less it was in excellent condition. It is very well built. I was concerned about the light color stitching, but it looks great and is not an issue. I personally can find no issues with the faux leather. It looks fine and I would never know. All in all the chair is wonderful. It’s something I’ve always wanted and the price was something I couldn’t pass up and I’m extremely pleased. I bought an an office chair from Amazon a few weeks ago and it broke their automated telephone help is not programmed for help. I finally found the mfg website which was pointless. I was really concerned that the easily chair might be in the same league but it isn’t

I had a Wassily reproduction for 40 years. Loved it but two leather straps broke and it was easier to replace than fix. (note when I put the old one out on the street in came off and on the street a number of times as others considered repairing it). Yes, it's a design icon, and stylish ... but ... no other chair serves the purpose while not cramping the space that it sits. It's just chrome bars and straps. It doesn't "close in" the room at all. And hey, I'm picky, I didn't want some flimsy, cheesy chair in my home. I very carefully unwrapped the box it came in because it was going back if I didn't like it. But it's great! I'm very pleased. A great chair at a great price. And it is very comfortable in a supportive and body-positive way.
