Color, creasing, and irritation. Is this product right for you?
Color:I was looking to replace a discontinued Estee Lauder cream shadow that was my go-to eye shadow for years when I found this. I came across the RMS eye polish line after being introduced to their illuminator, which if you haven't heard about you should go check it out! (It can be easily layered and gives a look similar to celeb icons like Alicia Vikander). I approached the eye polishes with the same idea: that I would love them. But not so fast.Solar seemed like it would match the cream shadow I had previously owned and it had natural ingredients, something that is great if the product actually works! But I have olive skin with a hint of a yellow undertone and this color ended up being too warm for an all-over eye lid look (It gave a little of an orange tone against my skin, too warm for my liking). I decided to keep it, however, because it worked really well in the crease and outer edges of my lids, worked well as a day to night look, and didn't have the warmth if used wisely. For those worried about irritation or creasing:Before I purchase any makeup products it normally takes a good amount of research for me to decide if it is the exact product I'm looking for (I've had negative experiences in the past both with irritation and poor product performance). This product caused zero irritation; compared with MAC, Smashbox, even Clinique products that have caused irritation. Even though this is touted as a natural line that has a large green-beauty following, rms products hold their own against luxury lines, IF you have the right skin for it. I personally have very dry skin; no oily T zone by the end of the day. RMS eye polishes are fairly thick and do seem to have an initial oily/paste-like texture but I preferred this because it was very moisturizing for my skin. However, those with oily skin or hooded eyes should be a little cautious: these would probably crease and not give the look you want.Overall: I liked this product and though I wouldn't buy this color again, I'm giving the other colors like the cooler toned brown called Seduce a chance. A quick google search pulled up something interesting: Pharmaca is having a sale for October right now and you can pick them up for $22 (free shipping over $35) if you're tempted to buy! ;)

The shade of this is really nice and looks very natural-esque on my eyelid
I have a very, very fair skin tone (think Fenty Pro Filt'r in 100/110). The shade of this is really nice and looks very natural-esque on my eyelid. Kind of like I'm not wearing any shadow but somehow have a hint of deepness and shine to my lids. This is not a pigmented product. The effect is pretty sheer, which I appreciate for no-makeup look days, which fits into RMS' vibe. Also, it is a cream, glossy shadow so it does crease. I find setting this with a powder helps give it some longevity but the lid turns out less glossy. You could also just reapply it.I was able to enjoy this product for several months until it unfortunately dried up and is now unusable. I think the packaging isn't sealed enough for a cream product like this, though it is made of a beautiful, matte glass. Interestingly, though, this dried up quicker than my other RMS product, a Lip2Cheek. I won't be repurchasing this shadow until the packaging is improved.

Keep a few things in mind when purchasing this
The formulas of the different shades in this line of eye polishes actually vary greatly in texture. This (solar) is one of the drier ones that take longer to crease and has better staying power. Compared to some others I’ve used (myth, magnetic, and utopia), this has larger glitter flecks rather than a glowy sheen the others impart. One thing to keep in mind when using these is to treat them like a gloss, not your conventional cream-to-powder 12-hour eyeshadows. They will crease for sure, but I don’t care as it gives me that glossy, effortless, undone look that no other cream eye shadow has been able to deliver. The creasing also isn’t super ugly - you won’t be able to see it unless you fully close your eyes, and with 1-2 touch ups per day, it works great!Unfortunately I had to return this, as the color was way too warm and gold for my neutral-olive skin. I ordered “lucky” to see if it will fit me better.

Really fun eye make-up to apply!
I really love the RMS Cream Eye Shadows. I was introduced to them in a birch box sample box and it was my favorite item by far. I was soooo happy that Amazon had a bunch of other colors. I apply these with my finger tip instead of any type of applicator. I feel like that gives me a lot of control and makes it easier to blend. But I do that with most of my eye shadows anyway.I have not tried to line my lid with this yet but I will try that now that I see others are doing that. Please make as many colors as you possibly can. I'll buy all of them!

Myth is good for highlighting
I love the creaminess of this eye shadow. I have been using cream shadows and blushes. I love how they just feel more hydrating, especially if you tend to have dryer skin types. The color is very light on my fair skin so I only use this as a highlighter under my brow instead of an eyelid shadow. Because this is so light I feel I do need to reapply more often. The only reason I gave this 3 stars is for the color being much lighter than expected. I was hoping this would be a nice all over natural lid color based what I see in the picture. The color is barely noticeable on my eyelids. If you are looking for a very light cream shadow this will work for highlighting with a darker color. I bought the seduce color as well and its fantastic!

Gorgeous.
I absolutely adore this shadow. The cream is luxurious. The colour is rich. It does cause a little creasing after some wear, but it is still soft and creamy enough to smooth out again gently with your finger. I got the Solar colour, and it gives a gorgeous natural glow. So natural my cousin didn’t realise I had on any shadow at all. She then proceeded to put some on herself :) would recommend the splurge.

Just Okay
I have a light olive complexion with oily eyelids. This color basically stays on for about an hour before dissolving. The color was subtle, which I enjoy, but almost to the point of being non-existent after an hour. I'm a regular purchaser of RMS for a number of years. Most of their products are wonderful and subtle, but I've always had issues with eye shadow just dissolving even if I powder my lids first. For the price, which I feel is quite steep, I will probably not repurchase

Preciosa sombra!
