False Knees: An Illustrated Guide to Animal Behavior

Once I discovered False Knees, I’ve enjoyed Facebook posts, his website and also finding the book here. The comics are hilarious, colored and just what I need to see when I end the day. I have my favorites bookmarked. I also have some prints of my favorite comics and plan to purchase more. This book is a treasure. The art is what gets me, and the conversations of the animals, mostly birds. Their facial expressions really make the comics. The words spoken by them often have me in stitches. Some are ironic, wry, but always funny. I have bought this book for friends, too. The sense of humor is exquisite. It’s worth much more than the price of admission to laugh and smile along with the creatures depicted. I hate to write reviews, but this book deserves wide distribution and people will love the author and artist for it.

Great comic. Not really for kids. Perhaps older ones.

It's honestly super cute! I've been a fan of the author for a while. The pictures and comics are honestly just a super light hearted and fun book to have around the house. I've used it as a coffee table book, but now it's a permanent staple in my bathroom. Guests seem to really like it!

I discovered False Knees on Instagram and instantly fell in love with the simple realism of the drawings juxtaposed with often absurd (but also funny, reflective, and heartfelt) dialogue. A pleasure to read and look at.

I stumbled won't False Knees while I fooling around the web. His birds are so beautifully drawn & amazingly wise & silly. His bio says his work is “relateable” & that's my opinion, too. His birds say out loud those little, drifty conversations that you have in your head. Those eye rolling, deep sighs & head slaps. These are Barkmans birds. they are perfect.

Great webcomic that has been brought to Kindle. The Kindle edition is nice and readable on a wide variety of screen sizes.

I follow on social media and bought it as a gift because i find them hilarious.

I’ve read a lot of of these comics as a supporter of Joshua’s work on Patreon, but they never get old, and there’s also a ton of new material here. No comic (and few books) fill me with as much joy as his creations. The artwork is absolutely stunning, and the off-kilter jokes always catch me off guard and crack me up. On top of all of that, the birds he draws are actual species, so it’s even educational! But seriously, every page is a work or art and worthy of framing. I’m considering buying a second copy to do just that.

I love the art and the humour is the icing on the cake.

I wish the author was my friend.

El libro es increíble, la ilustración de Joshua siempre me ha parecido excelente, tiene buen material. Lo único es que estaba un poco doblado en el medio, supongo por descuido de la bodega o los empacadores. Fuera de eso todo bien.

I love the comics created by False Knees, book took a while to arrive but I was in no rush.
