Have 2 of them, works as expected.
Nothing special to report on this product, other than it works like it should. I have one for 1" wide filament tape and needed a second for 1/2" tape. For the skinnier tape, it didn't work well. The tape twisted and folded over onto itself. But, found that if I put 2 rolls on at the same time, it held the tape into place perfectly.

solved
Glass filament tape is great, but it's pain to use. This dispenser, though seeming on the flimsy side, actually does a great job with the filament tape (and is far less bulky than the usual "tape gun"). So far the tape has behaved - the dispenser holds the end of the tape just well enough that it stays put on the dispenser, but willingly unsticks onto the box. Also, the blade cuts the tape with minimal effort so far.

Brand new and it does not cut the filament tape ...
Brand new and it does not cut the filament tape without having to get to the blade area and physically rip it off the blade.

Works well, a little too bulky, way too expensive
I have been using this tape dispenser for 1-inch wide plastic tape for about a year. It accommodates any kind of tape up to 1-inch wide with a 3-inch core. When I first got it, it felt very bulky in my hand -- that's because they made it large enough to accommodate a roll of tape with a LOT of tape on it (the tape I use fills up only half the available space). (I've since gotten used to the way it feels in my hand.) The dispenser is solidly made in the sense that the plastic is thick and not flimsy. (One other reviewer here called it flimsy, which strikes me as odd -- perhaps they have cheapened the item since I bought it. I doubt it, however.) My only complaint about the product is that it is ridiculously expensive (like all 3M products are). Even a well-made piece of solid plastic of this size should cost no more than $10, not the $19 they are asking for.Oh, one more good thing is that it has a metal blade -- the blade is not part of the plastic mold. It cuts my plastic tape very well, but I have not tried it with filament tape.
