Bathtime (BABY TOUCH & FEEL) Board book – May 18, 2009

Cute book but the touch and feel parts on each page are very small. My kids needed to be shown where to touch and then use one finger to feel, not a whole hand sensory experience. Pictures are bright and colorful. Arrived quickly.

I love this collection touch-and-feel books for babies. I am a speech language pathologist, and I use books with real pictures instead of cartoon drawings in the beginning when teaching young children. The books have to be sturdy and easy to clean. I teach parents how to teach children how to talk, and this is a perfect book.

I did like that the pages were sturdy and very colorful. The main reason I purchased the book, was for the textured areas for the baby to rub/run their fingers over. It had less texture than I thought, but it is acceptable for a baby gift.

Pictures include: Teddy in the bathtub with bubbles on his head, fish shaped soap bar, boat, rubber duck, whale bath toy, rubber frog, starfish towel, tooth brushes, swimming toy turtle, submarine, folded towels in a stack, teddy wrapped in a towel. The textures include terry cloth for the towels, foam mat for the rubber frog and duck, the rest are just sparkly paper with a little depression. Not as many textures as the other books in this series, but if your kid is all about bath-time books I am sure this will be a hit.

Touch and feel book as advertised. Smaller than expected and disappointing to our son who likes the different textures in his Peter Rabbit touch and feel book. This book used "shimmery spots" which are just shiny ink on multiple pages and the few fur patches are not soft at all. Touch and feel spots were tiny. Couldn't hold his attention.

THE WORST in this series. Where do I begin - two of the bath toys have the same texture but a different color, and another two pages have the same texture and are the same object - a starfish towel and a regular towel. And that’s the end of the texture pages. The rest of the pages have absolutely no texture on them, not even a raised, glitter glue texture, just the flat, printed sparkle (you know the one - it’s usually a throw-away page in the other books of the series). My baby/toddler searches on every page for the texture because he understands this is what he is supposed to do - and there’s nothing there! What an absolute lack of creativity, and if it wasn’t more hassle than its’ worth I would return it. Very disappointing. Had a lot of potential based on other textures they use for similar objects in other books of this same series. It’s a picture book at best.

Cute little book, my 2 year old loves to look at and feel the pictures, and learns new words at the same time! The pages are nice and thick, easy to turn for young children, the pictures are simple yet colorful, and the textures in pictures make the book all the more interesting for the little ones!

I agree some of the touch and feel pages are too small to feel, but it is still a nice book especially if they just got out the bath, they can relate to a few of the pictures.It is this typr of book and the lift the flap books that got my grandson out of ripping them to enjoying helping me read them with him.

Basically just had a list of different bath toys and they randomly “fishy soap” neither helpful for learning or particularly appealing.

The touch and feel sections of this book are so tiny that not even our baby can feel them on some pages, even with his tiny hands. A disappointment. There are better touch and feel books out there.

I have 4 of these little books and my granddaughter really loves them, they are lovely to touch, and great value.

This book was great, the touch and feel items were great and the pictures were vibrant, perfect for any baby or young child. Great value for money a really good buy
