Best loupe I even owned. And I'm talking over 50 years!
I'm a printer. And I've been a printer for over 50 years. And one thing I always do is carry a loupe in my pocket every morning when I leave home. And now, I finally found the best loupe I ever owned. OK, so it's a bit too large and too heavy for my pants pocket, but boy, does it do the job. I leave it on my desk or sometimes press-side so it's always handy. The lens is large, the style is "heavy-duty" and best of all it emits a bright, super-white light that really lights up the press sheet. It's made of metal, so it doesn't slide around or get lost on a busy stripping table. It's equally as good on offset or gravure press sheets. The only thing it's not, is small enough to carry in my pocket. But that's an easy trade considering the quality and the bright, built-in lights (both white and blue.) It has a 2" x 1.5" platform and its 2" tall. Has 2 high quality lenses and its put together with about a dozen small screws. This is heavy-duty all the way. And the best part is watching the press operators sweat when you approach the press with this new heavy-duty loupe in your hand. Enjoy. I know what I'm giving out for Christmas gifts next year.

Fantastic tool! Needs an auto-shut off.
I ran across a bunch of stamps and covers at an Estate sale and needed something to look at the details. This is it! Fantastic. The magnification an light lets me see the details on both coins and stamps, things I could never make out with my glasses are clear here. I like the way it sits, can look into the magnifier and type on the keyboard. One thing I hate.... HATE.... is the batteries. The white light is great, the black light, works ok but haven't found a reason that it works better than white. But you will click this to black light and leave on overnight. I saw the warning of others, still did it on the third time I used it. There really needs to be an auto shut off, or just remove this black light. Now, using a flashlight to shine in the sides till I get around to ordering new batteries.

The writeup says use LR927 . This is incorrect. The batteries that were in the magnifier are LR936.
I bought this magnifier in December 2024. I am a stamp collector and wanted to be able to really examine old stamps for errors etc. I have 6 other kinds of magnifiers that I have bought over the years and was not really satisfied with any of them. (I also am an avid plant grower and want to be able to examine my plants for diseases and bugs like aphids etc.) This is the best one (especially for the price) that I own and use all the time. Real easy to use. No focusing. Just lay it flat on the object you want to look at and it is always in focus. Caution: the writeup says replacement batteries are LR927. This is incorrect, they are too thin. The batteries that were in the magnifier are LR936.

Excellent Loupe for Digital Printing
I work in digital printing so this loupe gives me consistent measurements, I love the lights, keeps me from having to use the lightbox. I'm not sure about the other reviews, but I bought this loupe in May of 21, I use it maybe a dozen times a week and the batteries just died on me. Was going to replace it with the same, but found the batteries for $5, so even if they aren't the best battery it's still cheaper than replacing it. Very happy with it. On a side note, it has the UV light, so it does work on currency and if you're trying to look at yellow ink.

Good Loupe, Lousy Light
As a 30X loupe, this works pretty well for flat-ish items. The lights are a whole different topic. The white lights are a half-step above useless. Considering how bright other three-element LED lights I have are, either the batteries are on death's door or the LEDs are crap. The UV LEDs are sufficient for items that fluoresce. The frame seems to be aluminum, which was a nice surprise at this price point. It'll do for now, but I'll be hunting in the next higher price bracket for the replacement later.

Collector's Essential Tool for Coins, Stamps, and Cards
This compact 30x magnifier is perfect for coin hunting, featuring both standard LED and black lighting to improve detail visibility. Offering great value, it also includes a UV light function, ideal for inspecting card corners or detecting flaws. The heavy-duty magnifier is conveniently portable and equipped with a practical built-in light. It comes with two screws on the stand and three small Phillips screws on top. Ideal for evaluating coins, stamps, and other small collectibles, the magnifier includes a storage pouch for protection when not in use. It's an indispensable tool for card grading and a must-have for collectors. Great for coins, stamps and other small collectibles. Comes in its own pouch for storing away when not in use. Everyone needs this if grading cards. Cons: Batteries were initially placed incorrectly, necessitating unscrewing and repositioning.

Great value for money - this is one of things made in China that you should buy
Bought to inspect wood plane, chisel, and knife blades while sharpening. And it does that extremely well. I collect and even occasionally use a lot of old (and some new) tools from the US, the UK, and elsewhere in Europe. Some of my other reviews have castigated products that used to be made in western countries whose manufacturers shifted their production overseas and seem to have accepted a drastic reduction in quality, sometimes to the point of making their product useless (e.g. Swing Away, Nicholson, Rubbermaid Petersen). I don't know if this is a copy of something originally made elsewhere, but if it was, I couldn't afford the original. This costs little enough that I won't notice the cost. If it's mislaid, I'll buy another. Is it really 30X magnification? No, probably not even close. But I can clearly inspect scratch patterns on abraded or polished surfaces and edges, even on 0.5 mm secondary bevels. There's little or no obvious distortion across the field. In daylight the LED illumination isn't necessary, but it's very helpful in low light. The UV light option seem to work, but I don't have anything to use it on. It's also very helpful to have the metric and English scales. I haven't had to replace batteries or LED's yet, so I don't know if there's any gotchas with that.

Lo unico que no me encanta es que usa pilas de reloj y estas se acaban en una par de horas de trabajo continuo!
