Great knife. Worth taking the chance on this company
I don't consider myself to be a knife collector but as I look around I realize I've somehow amassed a collection of knives. Most of them are in the $30-$75 range although I do have a couple pricier knives that are great. The knives I have are all different well known brands but I had never heard of Off Grid knives. I kind of bought this one on a whim. Honestly, I liked how it looked. I'm not an impulse shopper at all but I ended up putting it in my "cart" for a few days and kept looking at it until I decided to pull the trigger. Here's the review: it's awesome. It's a great looking, sturdy little knife and I'm impressed with the look, the feel and the quality. I was a little concerned that it would be a little hard to open and it was a little stiff at first but after opening it and closing it a few times it loosened up to the point that it's as fast as any other knife I have (except for autos). It feels great in your hand or clipped to your pocket. It's "heavy" without feeling heavy or bulky (if that makes sense. Maybe heavy but in a good way).I like the push button to close it too. It's large enough that's it's easy to find but small enough you won't accidentally close it.I'm happy with my purchase and already have my eye another Off Grid knife.Although I sharpened it once it arrived it was actually pretty sharp right out of the box. It's a quality knife. Made in the US and im very happy with this purchase.

I Love these knives!
Gonna keep this somewhat short.I have been collecting premium knives for 8+ years. ZT, Muela, Benchmade, Kershaw, Fantoni etc...Stumbled onto Off-Grid Knives, got curious and picked up a Rapid Fire Blackout. Big-Time Impressive! For the money you can't go wrong. Fit, Finish, Feel, Balance and construction are great. Like the idea of the Cryo Treatment of the AUS 8 series steel. I'd put it somewhere in the 14C28n+ category. I know originally they called it the Poor Mans Zero Tolerance (ZT). That works. At the same time, it is Not a ZT for sureBut, I like the sound of it though. And, I believe there is truth to that. On a budget for a quality knife I'd suggest Off-Grid Knives. I like-em. Picked up 2 more recently. Rapid Fire Micarta and R.F M. Satin Finish. I'm not collecting them. But a nice twist/answer to the Brand Names.Anyway I like them and would say check-em out!Couple weeks later.. Felt like adding Sturdy with Great Feel, Looks as well. Trow in Tough Also! And RAPID deployment of the blade! With Excellent lock-up. These are growing on me. Stay True Off Grid Knives. You're on your way up. And I believe possibly becoming part of, The Knife Collecting World! I'll pick up a few more. I'm In!!!Update! I now have 6. EXCELLENT for someone on a budget! I'm actually adding these to my PREMIUM knife collection.5 Stars for what they are. And the idea behind them!!!

As advertised, but check for this
The size for my smaller hands is perfect; its feeling of sturdiness; sharpness, size and shape. I did however, request a same replacement return as I found some annoying, but minor marks on the clip indicating the item may have been returned before and two of the torx screws appear to have been out of concentric alignment and one screw appeared to have a scratched area around it, and one torx or the same appeared to have a Torx point damage(leading one to believe that if it wasn't drilled on perfect center at the factory, someone may have inserted a screw wring). Another thing that proved slightly annoying was the clip failed to bite unto my old carpenter jeans meaning if your are not stiff enough, you may have to hunt around for a spit where to clip in in and then, when it clips in, it doesn't feel as it will stay on as secure as my other knives gave. You would have to look carefully to notice these minor discrepancies, but fir a knife looking for trades people to buy, it shouldn't the obvious signs right out of the box. I chose to have another sent to me because Amazon has done this to me in the past leading me to believe that items that are returned for reasons like bought buy mistake or wrong color or something like that are quickly gone over by a amazon warehouse person and restocked. In short, I suspect this knife will be one of my best, and Also suspect the company didn't send it out like this--so, as soon as my replacement comes in, I will return this one.

Phenomenal little knife
So I decided to return my first one and try again with a different one. This one is amazing! The deployment is butter smooth and the button lock works like a dream. This is the quality I was hoping for from Off-Grid Knives. Well done!ORIGINAL REVIEW:I have a couple other Off-Grid knives and they're fantastic and I expected this to be no different. Honestly, I was pretty disappointed. When I opened the box, the knife looked incredible. I tried to deploy the knife and it was not possible using just my thumb. Even using 2 hands, the knife was incredibly difficult to deploy. I figured maybe it just needed a pivot screw adjustment however, the pivot screw is under the pocket clip. There is a lifetime warranty, but it states that I would void it by disassembling the knife. I figure removal of the pocket clip should be ok. I adjusted the pivot screw and put a bit of KPL on the bearings and it's a lot smoother, but now the blade is so far off center that it almost rubs the side and had quite a bit of side to side wiggle. I don't know, this one might be going back.

Strong and well made
The knife was tight and sharp right out of the box. The design of closing mechanism is solid. A good choice for every day carry if you need a strong tool and don't mind a little extra width for a short blade.
