This is a serious book for women who are sincerely going into a pageant. This lady has won a couple of state titles and knows what she's talking about. I should think that if a young girl (at my age, everyone is a "young girl") wants advice about pageants, this is the book. The author also has an online collection of lesson plans for how to prepare for pageants; she's very knowledgeable and gives thorough and detailed advice. How to pack your suitcase, how to learn a "pageant walk", how to hire a coach. So if you or a daughter or granddaughter is thinking about the local "Miss State Fair" contest this summer - and beyond - this is the book to read.

At the age of 61, I find myself preparing for my first pageant, Ms Senior Pennsylvania. I have never had any experience with pageants and I found this book to be a wealth of information. Thank you for this great resource. I did have trouble downloading information that the book frequently references. I don’t know if that was just me or my computer or if you no longer offer the downloadable resources.

Even if you are not competing in pageants, this book will help you motivate and organize to get ahead in everyday life.

I first found Alycia through her You tube video series of Win a Pageant. I found her information on pageants to be highly accurate and informative. She had mentioned her book, so I thought I would give it a try and I tell you the truth I couldn’t put it down! It is so good, so much great information on presenting yourself in a pageant and in life as well, not just for pageants. You truly will not be disappointed, buy this without hesitation!

I wish I had this book when I was younger and a pageant contestant. Alycia breaks down every aspect of pageant participation and competition. This book walks you through not only the "what to do" but the "why you need to do it." It's excellent advice not only for pageant contestants but for life advice as well. Although I never won a state or national title, pageants gave me confidence, presence, the ability to think on my feet and relate to many different types of people, as well as a wicked interviewing skill that took me far in the corporate world.Buy this book. You will not regret it.

Alycia's words are the perfect recipe to spark a fire in your pageant preparation journey. I have watched the majority of the videos on the Win A Pageant YouTube channel, but there's something about reading it that helps me retain the information better. Her tips and advice encouraged me to fully launch my legacy project and with 5 weeks left until Miss Texas United States, I joined her Pageant Interview Game Plan to really kick it into gear. If you are serious about winning your pageant, Alycia is your girl! She may like seeing you win more than you will!! Don't waste another second, get this book. 😃

Bought this book as a reference tool for competing in bikini and figure competitions..was hoping to glean some little nuggets of wisdom from traditional pageants as some elements can and do crossover.The price was a little steep at just over $50 however as there is very little info out there on pageants, I figured nothing ventured nothing gained.The first 3 pages of the introduction mention God 6 times...........Which caused me to raise an eyebrow...I must admit it was a little off putting.The cover has a lightweight photcopy feel and look to it.The author also states that the book is essentially all her podcasts in print form.....so I thought "great I could have gotten this infor for free?"Having said that having it in print form is handy...you can highlight and bookmark areas of particular interest. I find some of the advice sound and sensible, it is written in a style that's easy to understand. The author presents herself as knowledgable and practical. Some areas have a bit of a pep talk feel but that works for some.I paid $50 from the Amazon marketplace. Amazon itself did not present itself as a seller at the time there were only 2 sellers who had it.I am a little bitter that a few days after my copy arrived Amazon now has it for for about $20 cheaper. Believe me if it had shown up in my search I would have bought directly from Amazon and not the third party seller. The current Amazon price is more inline with value for money however the $50 I paid is a little steep and I would not reccomend paying that. Over all a handy reference and useful for some inspiration. Would have given 4 stars if there had been photos....a book on beauty pageants with no pics I find ironic.

This book is simply incredible. I cannot recommend it enough. This book is for women who are serious about winning a pageant. In each chapter, Alycia outlines the steps for how to plan your pageant journey. She explains in-depth why things work and why things don’t work.When I read this book, I have to keep a note pad next to me because I feel so much inspiration radiating from Alycias words.As the subtitle says “pageant coaching to win on stage and in life” this couldn’t be more accurate. Since reading this book I have become the happiest and most productive version of myself. Alycia has inspired me to volunteer with the elderly who have dementia and study a dementia prevention course at university so I can go into my community and educate people on how to lead a healthy lifestyle in the hope to prevent dementia.
