I'm sold.
I ordered this brace when my right knee began to really ache. I had a look at the various types, and per a Doctor, I should try them and see what hurts to wear and what doesn't (glad I didn't pay for that advice right). Had a look at several copper sleeves, and went with this one for it's 88% copper nylon. I wasn't sold on the benefits of copper per se, but if I'm going to get a copper infused brace, it might as well be a decent amount of copper.I measured 15.5 inches, and ordered a small, since they will stretch over time, and I wanted good compression. Lets face it, for 20$, even 40$ you're not going to get the type of compression in a real medical compression device, go tight. The fit is fine with adjustments, and the compression is adequate. When I say adequate, I mean it's good, you can feel it, and the stability it provides, but again, it's not serious medical compression that would cut your circulation off. After 5 minutes the pain in my knee that would not go away started to fade. At the most with the brace on, it's a dull reminder that my knee is quite sore. I've worn it all day, taking it off to wash it, 24 hours when I forgot to take it off, and I went a day without it on, just to convince myself this wasn't some placebo effect.I'm sold. I bought two more for my 88 year old Mom.Pros: It provides support for your knee that helps with overall stability. It's comfortable to wear when adjusted properly. It stays put for the most part.Cons: It only comes in one color. It only has 1 bead of silicone around each end, and this can slip if it's placed wrong.I found that placing the end comfortably on your calf then pulling it up over your thigh works best. If you pull it very tight with your knee bent, it will feel very tight, and typically slip when you move. If you fit it snug with your knee bent, I found this kept the brace in place through 90% of my day.

Works great so far ... Time will tell
I have had multiple surgeries on one of my knees. Putting off a TKR as long as possible and willing to try just about anything to get a little relief and prolong the inevitable. Will admit I was skeptical however figured it was worth a shot for the cost. Two weeks in and I have noticed a significant decrease in joint discomfort. Frankly, the difference for me was almost immediate. Week one was a sound test as I had an opportunity to do considerably more walking than I normally would. Having chronic knee problems I am pretty familiar with my limitations. Mind you I didn’t suddenly start running marathons but I was able to cover miles of city blocks, up and down hills, far more easily than I would have without this brace. So now that I’ve thrown the word ‘brace’ out there, let me qualify my statement. I purchased this product more for the supposed benefits of copper infusion than the compression aspect. Remember … Willing to try just about anything. Regarding the support, I really just hoped it would stay in place when I was on the move – And it did just that. As some have stated, size seems to run a little small. Others have stated that there is little actual compression. I have to agree, at least to some extent, with both of these observations. I would also add that I have worn compression stockings for years now, and I believe the only way to get the right compression is to be professionally fitted for your individual case. If I had to point out any potential shortcomings, I would say the upper band could be wider to help prevent the ‘rolling’ that some have commented on and, for the same reason, the silicon grip band could be wider as well or maybe a couple more could be added. Nothing is perfect, but I still must rate it at 5 stars, at least for now. I am quite satisfied with my purchase and have ordered another for my other knee. The bottom line is that it works for me.

Thin, flexible, and does the job
I bought this Copper Compression sleeve ($20) and a McDavid neoprene sleeve ($11) simultaneously. When they arrived, the product was so thin and came in a plain plastic bag that I thought it was the $11 product; the McDavid was a heftier product and came in a hard plastic clamshell. The minimal packaging contributed to making this product seem cheap but it is much better for the environment and we should appreciate that (like imperfect, organic apples.)Well, I promptly discovered that I could not use the McDavid. It was a stiff product that provided very good compression and knee support but it changed my gait so much that my hips and my other knee started hurting almost immediately. If I bent it, the back of my knee hurt too, where the material bunched up.I was dubious about the Copper Compression sleeve. It was comfortable and it didn't change my gait but it really did not seem to provide enough compression -- it was not even as tight as a pair of tights. And yet... I felt better. (Maybe I would have the same effect with a pair of tights but it would have been a lot less convenient.)BTW, kinesthetic tape also works on me and I was also very dubious about how putting tape on my skin could help pain -- it wasn't putting much tension on the muscles. My physical therapist said that both the tape and this sleeve were sending messages to the muscles to stabilize the joint. Not much tension needed. The McDavid really did compress (I used it a little while later to squish down some swelling while I sat on a sofa and it did an admirable job) but the Copper Compression works for me to stabilize while on the move. With my marginal knee and a tennis event coming up (32 games), my physical therapist taped the knee and I wore the Copper Compression sleeve over it. I still couldn't run -- it hurt -- but I could move swiftly. At the end of the day, I took ibuprofen, iced, and had very little ill effects. I pushed it, with more tennis the following week with the same setup and ended up with significant swelling but a combination of ibuprofen, ice, the McDavid, and then the Copper Compression reduced the swelling much more quickly than I deserved. Finally, one thing I LOVE about the Copper Compression is that I can ice without taking it off. I normally hate icing because I can't stand the cold after 1 minute but when I am wearing the Copper Compression the cold doesn't bother me. And I checked -- my knee was getting plenty of chill.Dropping one star because the bands at the top and bottom hurt a little bit (maybe I need a bigger size but I'm not sure and I don't want to get a bigger one and have it falling down or providing even less compression) and I think a little more compression would be nice.I like this so much, and it is so comfortable, that I think I will buy another one for my other knee.
