Bought this for my 7 year old daughter to do on a trip. She really loved it! Now she is excited to sew more and has joined the after school sewing club.This kit was super easy. I had to help with threading the needle and showing her the stitch, but once she got the hang of it, she would independently sew away. The felt is pre-punched with holes to make the sewing even easier, the fabric patterns and stickers are cute, the needle is plastic and thin (easy to use, no worries about going through TSA). You do need to have your own pair of scissors (child-friendly ones work well and also don't get confiscated by TSA or international airline security).Because it comes in its own case, you can easily put pieces away mid-project and come back to it. Once you're done, all the animals fit in the case as well. If your child is so inclined, they can play fun imaginative scenarios while on vacation.My dd loved this so much that she brought it in to show her 1st grade class, and now others want to do the kit too.

Your child's determination and grit will either make this a project for him/her or a project for you, the adult. For example, my five-year-old stuck with it and got it done, albeit she needed constant help rethreading the needle. My seven-year-old said it was "too frustrating" to sew the shape of the bunny but was willing to sew the pillow (a basic rectangle). I had to watch a YouTube video on how to sew the "blanket stitch" for them because the directions that came with this kit weren't clear. And this kit is smaller than I had expected (the tin is about 2 1/2 inches x 1 1/2 inches), granted that's my fault for not reading the product description ahead of time. I didn't give this sewing kit two stars instead of three because once it was finished, my kids had fun playing with it and had fun putting the stickers on the tin.

No she couldn't do the box stitch or the running stitch properly and I had to be close by to rethread the needle and untangle the string when she got stuck, but this is great! The predrilled holes and plastic needle make this safe and easy enough. She doesn't care that it's not exactly like the picture but she loves that she made something. She never liked the lacing cards but loves this. Can't say enough good things. Just bought another one for an upcoming weekend away.

I really looked forward to gifting item to my daughter for Christmas 2022. Item received is just a bunny. No cute tin for travel etc.. returned and ordered again same issue. Be ware you will receive just a bunny.

Gave bunny and cat sets to 8 and 10 year old kids. Each was able to work with the kit just fine. The 10 year old wasn't bored and thought they were super cute, and the 8 year old (this was her first time sewing) was able to do this with minimal help. Super cute!

This craft kit was for my granddaughters and their cousin. Each girl completed their own bunny (2 kits) with the adults helping with accessories. The cousin's family moved today and each set of girls had a suitcase with bunnies of their cousin(s) to remember each other by. Great craft!!

This is an adorable set for a young girl. The suit case is about the perfect size for an American Girl doll, and the bunnies make great American Girl toys. The set is well made and simple to assemble. Small hole are in the fabric, making it perfect for the young sewer to know where to stitch and everything you will need is included. The project itself is easy to complete, which is nice for a child that loses interest in longer projects.Very happy with this purchase.
