US attack aircraft kit featuring detailed cockpit with seated pilot figure, recessed surface detail, separate flaps and speed brakes plus extensive assortment of external stores: 5" HVAR rockets, 250 lb. bombs, 2000 lb. bombs, 2.75" FFAR rocket pods, 2.75" rocket tubes and drop tanks. Decals for 3 US Navy aircraft: VA-25 'The Fist of the Fleet', 1965; VA-52 'Knight Riders', 1964 and VA-176 'Thunderbolts', 1966.

Review: Not a toy........an excellent tamiya model. - Another great model from Tamiya. 99% of the parts fit together great, there were a one or two areas that were not perfect, but not a big deal if you can work with "massaging" pieces into place. The detail is great, a lot of options for finishing. A TON of ordinance, no way all of it is used so it can be saved for future models. I call myself an intermediate experienced modeler and this one has had the most detail requirements that I've done so far, if one wants a lot of detail, this has it. A solid piece that holds together well, looks great finished. Took me about 3 weeks to complete, but I took my time. This was my first model plane using an airbrush, so there is a learning curve with that, but it still came out good. Definitely not a toy, but any intermediate and above modeler will appreciate this one. Definitely recommended.

**Q: What skill level is this?**
A: Average modeling skills for the air frame assembly.  Finishing depends on degree of detail desired.  Definitely not for a beginner.

**Q: Can you briefly give out dimensions of the plane like length and wingspan? much appreciated. thank you.**
A: wingspan 12.5" length 9.5"

**Q: does it have crew members(pilot).If not can anyone give me a source for interior crew members.**
A: A bit late, but you can get pilots (and ground crews) from the "Hasegawa Pilot Deck Crew" sets here on amazon and other places.  Search for the words in the quotes and you will see 2 options:  Crew B is USAF (mostly) and Crew A is USN, despite both being labeled as USN.  Since the A-1H is USN, you most likely want Crew Set A.  The gear on the pilots might not be 100% correct for the A1 era, but inside a closed up cockpit who would really notice?

**Q: Can the wings fold on this model?**
A: Sorry but the wings on this kit are molded as solid wings and not designed to be folded.

Another great model from Tamiya. 99% of the parts fit together great, there were a one or two areas that were not perfect, but not a big deal if you can work with "massaging" pieces into place. I call myself an intermediate experienced modeler and this one has had the most detail requirements that I've done so far, if one wants a lot of detail, this has it.
