Question 1

Which is better Morakniv Outdoor 2000 or Morakniv Bushcraft Carbon (black)? Thanks in advance!

Accepted Answer

I would have to say that it is totally up to the user and what type of purpose that you will be using the knife for. I do not own a bushcraft Carbon so I can't give you an accurate comparison. I can say that the 2000 is a very well made knife and holds a very good edge. I use it for everything from cutting thick leather to cardboard. The thickness of the blade will ensure that it will last for a very long time. My personal recommendation would be to get a 2000. It will not dissapoint.

Question 2

The sheath appears right- and left-hand symmetric, so you can draw the knife by either hand. Is this true? Being left-handed, I care.

Accepted Answer

The sheath is right and left hand symmetric. The handle is symmetrical as well. I've had mine since 2010. Took it to Costa Rica and camped on the beach for a month. I have loved this knife since the moment I got it, which was a relief because its hard to tell what you are going to get for the price.

Question 3

Hi. I have large hands (glove size large) and wonder if the handle would be small?

Accepted Answer

The handle should fit your hands well. The overall length of the handle is 4.5". It is is very "grippy". I own a number of Moras; including the Bushcraft Black, and the handle on the 2000 is the best of them all. The 2000 does not have a 90° spine, it is somewhat rounded , so it doesn't strike a ferro rod well. A file or grinder will quickly remedy that. The Mora sheath is just okay, it works, but I bought an inexpensive leather sheath on Amazon for it.The 2000 is a very good all around knife for use around camp, bushcraft and general purpose. Like all Moras, they are paper cutting sharp out of the box, so be careful with it, it can easily "bite" you. Strop it and you've got a razor.

Question 4

Does it Have a Belt clip?

Accepted Answer

No, It has a leather like loop at the top that you can put a belt through but no clip
