When was this map last updated?

I believe it is 2012-13 - you can find out for sure by contacting the retail store Wide World Maps and More in Phoenix, AZ. Regards, Jim (azmapman)

How new is this map ? Does it have South Sudan on it?

This is updated with South Sudan and Kosovo

Is the map topographical?

It shows mountain ranges and rivers, and it gives the height of prominent peaks. Fitting the whole world in one map, however, does not leave room for detailed topo info.

Taiwan is not a part of china! why is your map inaccurate?

It’s a political question. Indeed everyone is entitled to his own opinion. The answer, though, is somewhat controversial. I would not go as far as saying this map is not accurate. I do sincerely wish everyone can find a good map that satisfies his needs. One direction I can point out is that you can try those Taiwanese online platforms.
