Great Family Movie. Especially for Girls.
I bought this movie for my daughter. She loved it! A great movie to talk about Boy Girl relationships for the first time. Don't have any boys, so I cannot say how they will like it. May be a bit slow for boys, and a bit on the "Girlish" side if they are not interested in Girls yet. However it does have a strong boy lead, and the story is written about a Boy and his friend, and how a girl comes into their town and changes them.Not a fast pace story.Buy with confidence if you are looking for a Family Value Story.

So Happy
I am so happy i found this movie I lived in Aurora Il. and they filmed this movie right out my door my son was about 3 1/2 4 yrs old everyday we would sit outside and watch them make the movie i have pictures of my son and christopher Mcdonald and autographes on our parking pass so we could go in and out on our street .. I wish i bought it a long time ago when i saw it but havent seen it in yrs till i looked on amazon

Very inexpensive, high quality DVD's!
I had gone to my library, and found a great movie entitled, "Children on their Birthdays", and really loved it. I asked if I could buy it form them, saying I'd pay $10 for it. They said they couldn't. So I went on Amazon.com,and found a used one--that was just like brand, spanking new--and bought it...for under $2 plus a little postage! I think I found the way to buy DVD's!!Rick C.

Great movie and good for the family also
Great movie and good for the family also. Puts a smile on your face. Brings you back to your childhood romances. A must see, if you don't order this movie you are missing out on a blessing for you heart. I will be watching this over and over. Brings you spirits up.

Wonderfully Heart Warming Movie
This movie is so heart warming. Parents should sit with their children age 7 to 11 and watch it with them. There's so many messages in this movie. If you don't like sweet, watch something else. The young girl has a purity that is lost today in our youth. I loved the movie!

cute capote
The film goes for cuteness. The kids in the movie are cute.Whenever the makers of this film thought that rewriting theCapote story would result in a cuter movie, they rewrote.The ending of the movie changes Capote's story to a shockingextent. I bought the movie because I thought it might be ateaching tool; I think I should have been given more of awarning about how much the story was simplified for filming.

Good movie for kids and adults
I got this because I am a huge Sheryl Lee fan! She is great in this movie, although hearing her speak with a southern accent is alittle disconcerting. This is a good movie that you can watch with your kids- I think there may be just one swear word in the whole film and there's no sex scenes. A good film with a good cast!

Children On their Birthdays
Saw part of movie ways back,could not find it anywhere because we didn't know title. Chanced upon it again on HBO,checked with Amazon. Excellent family movie, very interesting underlying plots even if they're presented as simple. Morals to learn everywhere. Suggest for family bonding time. Excellent! Thank you Amazon.
