Like the fact how thin it can slice things

The day is arrived I tried to use it to thinly slice a potato....potato stayed in tact but the blade buckled and came out of the setting..... still attached to the potato.

Very pleased with this Mandolin Vegetable Slicer!! Firstly, it's great value because you get 5 interchangeable slicing blades that simply slot into place on top. Secondly, very easy to wash and dries quickly. Thirdly, the hand guard is very simple to use and protects your fingers from the sharp blades. A bit tricky on narrow cucumbers though. I also like the fact that set of blades are in a little storage container that keeps them safe and organized. I mainly use the slicer blade, but there's a grater blade too for Cheese or Coleslaw. All made of Stainless Steel. The actual Mandolin is hard plastic. To top it all it comes with a food catcher base (don't know the technical term) that catches the sliced food which is ideal for messy Beetroot. Only disappointment for me is the base is not sturdy enough. I have a granite Kitchen top and it didn't stay put whilst grating some Onions. Not a huge problem, but was noticeable to me. Otherwise, worth buying. Invaluable for my food preparation and hand slicing time.
