I had been looking for a boonie hat for a while and just happened to find this one online while searching. I wanted something that looked nice since typically these hats are not flattering on anyone. I looked at various ones through Amazon but didn't find one that I thought looked nice enough until I stumbled on this. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this particular hat actually looked nice and is well made. It was nice to see that for the price of 1, you actually get to hats in the package. The color is a light gray color so very neutral and would go with any you wear. I was looking for khaki initially but very happy with the gray color of this hat. It fits well and is comfortable. I haven't had a chance to wear it for an extended period of time yet since I got it specifically for a couple of vacation trips I have this summer under the sun. I think it'll work well. Because I got two, my wife says she'll use the other one since she thinks it looks good. My only gripe is that when the hats arrived, they were both folded in half in the plastic bag. I think it would have been fine if the hat was flattened without bending the brim of the hat but instead it was bent on the brim leaving two very distinct creases. But the good news is that it's a minor thing. I had read other reviewers saying that ironing helped and it sure did. I was able to get the creases out and even ironed the top of the hat a little to get out some of the wrinkles. I'll throw this in the luggage and flatten it (not bending the brim) and it shouldn't take up much room. I also think that with the material it should be easy to clean by throwing it in the washing machine but letting it air dry. The mesh part on top should allow for plenty of ventilation as well. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and think it's a good deal since you're getting 2 for the price of 1.

Bought 2 sets of these hats for using at Disney. I like them because they are collapsible for throwing in a backpack. They adjust so they fit all of us..my husbands just fit but we usually have to get customHats for him and he said it’s not too tight but it borderline. (His favorite hat is 50 bucks so I didn’t want him to take that one to disney). I like that they have chin straps so they won’t blow away in wind. The brim is good and willProtect our faces from the sun. And they were very affordable so if they get lost or damaged I won’t be overly concerned.Mine were packaged flat so I don’t have any creases in my hats as mentioned in another review. I am happy with my purchase and think they will work really well for us.Of course keep in mind you get what you pay for. We have hats from the hat shop in Charleston that are really good quality..these are obviously not as good material wise but are a 1/4 the price and sometimes you don’t want to spend a ton on a hat!! But I feel these hats are more value than what you spend..just don’t expect them to be equivalent to a 50-100 dollar hat

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of these hats. Several years ago I paid about $50 for a canoe hat. I bought that hat because it floats and was great for any type of lake activity as well as soccer games, gardening or whatever. It has vents. My point is....these hats are EXACTLY like the hat I bought all those years ago, except that these are very inexpensive! 5 of our family are taking a canoe trip to the BWCA and I'm putting together gift bags for the trip. I thought I'd try these to see if there was any hope. They are actually nicer than my canoe hat! These have snaps you can snap the side up if you want to and more ventilation, plus they fit the head better and the brim is slightly wider. I'll be ordering another set of these for sure. I'll be a little jealous that everyone else will get these hats while I'll have my expensive canoe hat. As far as fit - they will fit a wide variety because you can adjust the fit a bit. My husband has a big head and they fit him. I have a small head and they fit me. So there is definitely some flexibility in the sizing. I purchased size large and plan to do the same with the next order because 2 of the guys have bigger heads and the girl has long hair. Incidentally, all of the items I've purchased from The Friendly Swede have exceeded my expectations.

Got a pair of these 4 years ago. Wore them regularly in the west Texas sun and wind. The 2018 version was loose fitting and tightened up nicely as needed with the head size adjuster cord. Washed often, never shrunk. Decided to get another pair just like them. New pair, May 2022, is noticeable smaller in the head size with the head adjuster not even tightened. Like another consumer, I measured the inside head band which is now at 22”. Not even close to 23 1/2 max as stated. It is very tight on my head to the point of being uncomfortable, with no adjustability. Disappointing to say the least. Measure your head with cloth tape. If bigger than 22” these current models will be toooo tight and can only get tighter. Hey Friendly Swede … go back to original size or change your description on max head size…. Otherwise, a great outdoor sun hat.

I use mine for outdoor work. It would also be good for hiking or backpacking. It is light weight, well ventilated, and adjusts in size to fit my small head size. The brim is wider than most & shields the sun nicely. Stays on well on windy days with the size adjustment & the chin strap. Highly recommend for its intended purpose. Probably not so much when style is important (I.e. going out to dinner) as it does look a little dorkey. Can't beat the price.

This hat does what all the other brimmed portable sunhats promise. It's shipped flat, so no annoying fold line to deal with. Nice venting, etc for cool. looks great. Price is great too - I have two sets.

The hat is very thin on the 'contact' (skull) areas. It has no form and just slips down. Any adjustment makes it too short to keep the sun out of my face. The brim itself is terrible stiff and makes you look like smokey the bear.Even though the hats were cheap I can not see myself wearing them. Just too uncomfortable.Too bad. I would NOT recommend.

Ein guter, Multifunktionaler Sonnenhut. Sieht gut aus, hat den Nackenschutz und ist gut belüftet. Ich kann mich nur bei Wind darüber beschweren. Das ist natürlich jammern auf höchsten niveau, das weiss ich. Wenn der Wind am Hut zerrt muss man den Kinn- bzw. Stirn riemen sehr eng ziehen und dann wird es nach ein paar Stunden etwas unangenehm.Der Nackenschutz ist 2 teilig mit einem "Netzinnenfutter" und man kann den äusseren teil auch extra abnehmen. Ich fand ihn etwas steif. Ins Wasser getaucht kühlt er aber wunderbar. Die Krempe ist breit genug auch wenn ich es gerne etwas breiter mag. Insgesamt das beste Preis/Leistungsverhältniss das zu finden ist. Auch weil es 2 Hüte sind.

Latest update - I subsequently decided to return as they weren't flattering enough. The refund service was excellent though. Cant fault it.Bought for myself (a mother in her early 40's) and my 9 year old son. Mainly to be used when we go to the tropics which we go to most years and will be again this year. For him sports caps can be too tight and unbreathable and bucket hats sometimes don't offer enough shade. For me straw hats although smarter are not crushable so a pain to pack. I came across this item and seeing as it could be worn by all I decided to buy them as they looked fun. I originally wanted to wear mine with the side up cowboy style but the hat didn't sit right and looked lopsided. Decided that they look best just casually sitting open on our heads. My son looks better in his than I do in my opinion. We chose the green as it is his favourite colour. They are made of a light material and I think will look cool and do the job once we're in hotter climes wearing sunglasses and summer gear. At the moment we're in rainy UK so looks a bit out of place.

Der Hut hat eine ausreichend ausladende Krempe und schützt so nicht nur die Gesichtspartie sondern auch Ohren und Nacken.Ich nutze diesen Hut auf dem Golfplatz als Alternative statt der üblichen Kappe. Der Rand steht ausreichend vor um um eine Blendwirkung zu verhindern.Auch ist dieser Hut waschbar was die meisten Kappen ja eben nicht sind und durch Schweiß irgendwann unansehnlich werden.
