Stops water flow when closed and allows water to flow when open.

we use them on the hose end for filling horse water buckets. They seem to hold up well and work well. cheap to replace if one gets smashed or freezes.

Purchased (size 1 inch) partly based on picture. The number on the received valve is the same as the ordered valve with the wrong picture: Homewerks VBV-P40-B5B Ball Valve, PVC Schedule 40, Female Thread x Female Thread, 1-Inch. The received valve is physically different than shown on the picture when I purchased it, as follows:1) Both outside surfaces on the ends are smooth cylindrical surfaces instead of the hexagon wrench grip-type shown on the picture. (In other words: a wrench cannot be used at either end, unlike shown on the picture).2) The handle is a pop-up handle (not a screwed-on handle) retained by plastic inserts. The top of the handle is a large diameter pop-up with the same blue color as the rest of the blue handle instead of the small diameter white center shown on the picture (which I thought might have indicated a screwed-on handle). The handle is retained by plastic inserts from the pop-up, as easily revealed when one pops the top.

Have not installed yet but quality appears to be good. The received valves are different than shown on Amazon web page. I purchased these valves because of the shown hexagon wrench grips on each valve end. Received valves are smooth on each end so a wrench cannot be used. Disappointing. The number on the received valves is the same as those ordered from Amazon so there is a disconnect somewhere.

VERY GOOD Valve. Heavy Duty and the handles WORK. I was skeptic because of BAD reviews so I ordered 2 just in case the handle didn't work. These are much better than what I could buy at Grover's electric here.They got here FAST, 2 DAYS EARLY.

Valve is used few times each week and so far works - no leaks and has full flow capability which I wanted. I would buy again if I need any more.

Product arrived on time and in great condition as described.

This is a solid valve that threads well, doesn't leak, and seals perfectly. Its only flaw is that it's a little stiff. If you have weak fingers, you might use a mechanical aide, like a crescent wrench, to get some leverage, but my hands are aging and I did fine. Still, you know yourself best. This is not a slim, hideaway valve, though. It just, simply, works.

This 1 1/4" ball valve was advertised in Amazon.ca as Homewerks VBV-P40-B6B, but I received the Kentsharp DN32. It appears to be good quality, but the opening of the ball does not line up 100% with the body when it is in the fully opened position. The handle operates smoothly without excessive effort, but it needs to open just a little more for the ball to line up exactly with the body.

Valves appear to be suitable for my purpose , which is low pressure well water at cabin.Only negative I see is that the valves can be difficult to turn on or off, because the handle is quite small.

Not good for irrigation on edible crops.Has warning for cancer and reproductive harm sticker on fitting.
