Durable hard use light
This led light is very bright for what it is, and lasts a long time with an Energizer button cell installed. I use the red light frequently and have yet to replace the battery. It is light weight and I can confirm that it water resistant, at least enough to survive a few hours in the rain. Highly recommend if you are in the market for something similar.

Brighter than expected
The low red is what youd expect for map reading. And the high on red or white is quite bright. Pictures are about 15ft away from the pallet. Build quality seems fine, I can see why the tabs break with being a little heavy handed removing it or installing, but my clicks into its mount smooth. like all products though some people get lemons.

Good
Nice and bright with red and white light. On my helmet so we’ll see how long it lasts.

Attachement point keeps breaking.
The Princeton Tec Switch MPLS LED Task Light comes with a bunch of mounts and includes batteries, but both lights I had broke when attaching to the picatinny mount, and in the same exact location. The first light I received lasted a few days, I set it up to use with either my bump helmet (with picatinny mount), or with a baseball cap (with supplied brim mount) depending on the situation. Just before a shift, I attached the light to my helmet and the nub(?) that inserts into its slot nearest the LEDs sheared off, preventing it from being used with any of the other mounts.Amazon sent a new one out and I decided just to leave it mounted to my helmet and treat it as a permanent fixture. This one though, broke the very first time I installed it. I was careful while putting it on knowing there was a potential design flaw, but the same forward nub snapped off just the same. The version I purchased was Olive Drab with 1 Red/1 White Ultrabright; Sold and Shipped by Amazon.com

Just what I needed
Some guys run very expensive Surefire and Streamlight (which are awesome products) on their helmets, however for my application it would be bad if I were patrolling and a 1000 lumen light turns on while in the treeline at night. This defaults to a red lens which only emits a single red LED. However if you use the white light LED, it is just enough to light up a small room or help you with small low light tasks. Also it won’t effect your night vision like a 1000 lumen light would.

nice small light
I ordered this light to put on my agency issued, Hard Head Veterans ATE Gen2 helmet. The package arrived, the light is perfect for my needs and came with *lots* of attachment accessories. The only problem is that my helmet has MLok mounts and out of all the attachment accessories, there was none that would connect the light directly to Mlok. I ordered a small 3 slot Mlok rail to attach to the helmet so I can set it up on this helmet.

great addition
a perfect personal work light for my helmet! This is not the light that will light up the soul of that raccoon 1/2 a mile away on your homestead! It is a personal workspace light designed to give off enough light to read a map, dig in your ruck, or eat your MRE with out lighting up everything in your area. Good, large button that are easy to use with gloves. Red light comes on first, so you don't blow your night vision when using. it comes with SEVERAL mounting adaptors for your hat, helmet, MOLLE Webbing, or rail. Great tool!
