Q: Which setting is best to cook sushi rice?

Q: Is this cooker coated with teflon?

I can't answer definitively, but it doesn't look like or feel like teflon, it is more like a ceramic coating. It is very easy to clean and the rice doesn't stick to it, no burned rice on the bottom. That being said, I like it a lot because I'm particular about my rice which is a mixture of different types of rice and some farro. If you are not particular about your rice, then I would stick to the regular Tiger rice cooker which is much cheaper and still does a decent job of cooking rice once you get the water amount down. Mine is still working after almost twenty years of constant use! That is why I bought this Tiger.
