Great portable soccer goals
I train and coach a U12 team that plays 8v8. These portable goals are great for 6v6, 7v7 & even 8v8 small sided games. Every training session you have goals, no matter how crowded your fields are, or what field space you are playing on. The players get a great look when taking shots on goal. Much better than cones, poles or small 4x6 goals when playing with numbers. When properly anchored, these goals don't move. The provided anchors are a little light weight, and depending on your playing surface may not be enough to hold the goals on all playing surfaces. I purchased some separate spikes & large washers and a mallet from my local home center to hold the goals down, and these things don't move. My players really strike the ball into this net, and after 6 weeks of usage I really like them. They take about 5-10 minutes to setup. Once you get the hang of it, it goes faster, but a newbie will take longer. Another added bonus is the bounce back, which is great for finishing skills. The balls bounce back out of the netting under most conditions which is great for training, no fishing the ball out of the back of the net and getting hit with a ball while the next player finishes. This goal comes with a great carrying bag with sturdy handles and wheels. (About the size of a typical canopy tent used on the touch lines during games). If you have a pickup, SUV, mini-van or large full-size car, you can fit a pair of these goals in the vehicle no problem. I've taken them to the beach for beach soccer, and they're great there as well, we use a couple of bags of sand to hold them down, and we are playing soccer on the sand.

Solid construction but some design issues
We used the previous design of these goals for our pick-up games for several years before buying these. After having used them for more than a year I can attest to their sturdiness, build quality and convenience. However due to the new design setting them up is a little less intuitive and the fabric of the nets tends to get caught in the hinges and fray. The zippers on the bags need to be treated quite gently.

Quick, Easy, & Compact
The bownet was a great purchase for us. We used to have a full size, heavy metal goal up in the yard until my mower caught it and pulled it over, causing the pole to snap (bummer). I compared the Bownet, Powernet, and Skils. Decided on the Bownet based on reviews and pricing. Bownet is very easy to set up, just unfold at center, snap into place. You can keep it short by not pulling the base poles away from center or pull them out (a little tugging required) and then just slip in the two joining poles on each front side (after putting them through the net slots). Pull the two net cords over the pole tops and you are done, ready to play. My boys and I put it up in less than 5 mins and same taking it down. Decent carry case, no issues with that yet. Goal takes all the punishment an 11 & 13 year old can do to it. Definitely recommend.

Exceeded Expectations by a Mile!
What a quality product! I haven't used it yet, but set it up for my little league team to practice with tonight. We had another portable soccer net that was decent, but the netting was thin and has completely unraveled over the past year. The Bow Net got here yesterday and I put it together immediately. It was initially a little hard to figure out what went where and no instructions are provided. Most of the installation was self explanatory, but the lower extension took me a minute to figure out. After seeing it up, I can't wait to use it. The metal base appears very very sturdy and the poles that provide structure for the sides are nearly one inch thick. The netting is sturdy and will hopefully last several seasons. It only came with two steaks to put it in the ground, but I may not need to given how heavy it is. The 7x14 that I purchased also came with a rolling carry case which is very convenient.I plan on using this thing for years and think it can handle the abuse. Very happy I bought it and would recommend it to anyone.

Steel frame bent easily
The steel frame bent after one use , I not going to send back because it still works and I don't want to deal with it.The net is great, the graphite rods are strong and it doesn't move once the stakes are put in the ground. My only disappointment is that the steel frame is really weak, I was surprised that it bent just setting it up. I have a lot of experience with setting them up since my kids soccer team uses the full size model (which is bent also). The Bownet company needs to really improve the quality of the sliding steel frame because its made from really weak junk steel. People pay good money for these nets and you'd think they would use a higher grade steel but I see as usual with things made in China profit proceeds quality. Overall a good net but crappy steel frame.

Great Net
everything was great with this net..easy to set up and easy to break down. The only problem is have to be careful when you break it down to store it. You can easily get the net all tangle up and it becomes a nightmare to untangle it.

... used in my son's soccer leagues and they are easy to setup and quite sturdy
I became interested in these goals because the 8x5s are being used in my son's soccer leagues and they are easy to setup and quite sturdy. I purchased both the 12x6 and the 14x7 and they were a big disappointment because they are not true to size. Both sizes are only 8.5 feet wide at the base and then they flare up to either 12 or 14 feet depending on the goal you purchase. Also, the nets sag too much in the middle. For instance, the 14x7 goal is only 6 feet high in the middle.

Issues with one of the holes
One of the rods does not fit snug into frame holes and has to be hammered in everytime, a bit annoying. I bought a new insert but after they sent the wrong size and then sending the correct one, one rod continues to be a pain in the neck to insert. Problem is the kids using it can't setup the goal without some grown ups helping to get the rod in.
