I first purchased this kit as an item I would use for convenience when traveling more than a few miles from the car. However, after using it for the first time this past season, I now know this kit will replace my old piecemeal knife set I've used for years. The blades are phenomenal - very high quality, sharp as razor blades, and extremely easy to clean. The wearable pouch is super convenient and helps you keep your knives in a safe location at all times instead of in the grass or on the harvest itself. The cage separator was something I thought I'd never use, but I ended up loving it and am happy this is included in the kit. The sharpener works really well - a few quick swipes before you start and you will be at optimum sharpness. Lastly, the little pouch for holding your field dressing gloves is large enough to hold a small plastic bag and disinfecting towelette as well. Now I can clean up and store away my trash without having to shove bloody gloves and blades back into my pack. In short, this is an amazing product and worth every penny I paid for it. I would recommend to every hunter.

I’ve had this kit for 5 years now and have used to process multiple deer and elk. Very sharp knives and they are perfect carving up wild game. I clean and sharpen after every use and the they are still like brand new. Highly recommend.

I absolutely adore the quality of this butcher kit. My husband is going through too many of the cheaper field dressing knives he's owned so I thought it would be a good idea to invest in something meant for what he was using it for, and this is it! In this kit you get 3" Caping Knife, 4 1/4" Gut Hook Skinner, 6" Boning/Fillet Knife, 6" Wood & Bone Saw and a tungsten spreader. All of the items come in an easy to use and carry case that rolls out, and the plastic sheaths for the knives can be removed to be cleaned as well. This is everything he needs to have in order to properly field dress his game meats. The knives and such are heavy duty and you can tell they'll do their job and last a lifetime too. I had no issues with the knives or components dulling out or not being sharp either. This set is going to be very handy for every hunter in our family!

I purchased this last year for elk hunting season. Was very impressed with the sharpening tool and used it on all my other knifes as well. Great value and solid knives. The carrying case rolls up nicely and fits in my butt pack well. However based on the weight of all the knives together I will probably only carry the actual knives I will be using in the field.

I recently ordered this item this past deer season. When this item arrived it was nicely packaged. Upon opening this item I was very impressed with how this came with the nylon belt to help store the knives.Pros: I really like the storage for these knives. The Nylon pouch is nice for when you need to open it and quickly buckle this around your waist for easy access. They come pretty sharp, however this does come with a sharpener if you feel they are a little dull. I like that this comes with the Steel Stick this really helps hold the deer open during the field dressing process. I really like the grips on these knives during feild dressing. These knives feel very comfortable and balanced in your hand. This is the perfect item for new hunters or hunters that are just looking to upgrade there current set of blades.Cons: I really could not find anything wrong with this knife set. I am really happy with this item.I would highly recommend this item!

I went hunting for the first time this year. I watched several YouTube videos on field dressing white tail deer. This set had every tool that those videos showed, at a very reasonable price. If it just included a Butt-Out tool (not shown in the videos I watched, but introduced to me later by a friend), it would be absolutely perfect.I found it very nice to have the case that turns into a belt so I could have everything right on me. Each tool worked great. The saw went right through the bone so we could open the chest cavity. Great not to have to reach up to one's elbows like I saw in some videos.I saw one review that said this stuff was flimsy. While these aren't 5-star German made knives (I have a set for my kitchen), they were not flimsy. I'm not prying bones apart. They cut everything I needed to easily in a white tail deer (three so far this season.) I would definitely recommend this deal to a friend I wanted to keep.

Great set of tools! Bought it for my husband for his hunting trip and he said these were the only knives they used for field dressing. Every piece was used.They worked great. Very sharp and the included sharpener made sure they had sharp knives every time.Case came in handy to keep them all together. He said he was glad he didn't have to be extra careful putting the knives back in with the plastic sheath protecting the knives.Packs down to a nice size that doesn't take up too much room in his backpack.Definitely recommend for all hunters.
