This is a very practical, high quality made Selfie Stick with the added bonus of having a tripod stand.I use it with my GoPro and smart phone.

Just received the Q3.Looks solidly made but I have a bit of a concern.I don't won GoPro cameras and I'll be using this mainly with my LG 360 and Gear 360 as well as my Note 4.So I removed the GoPro adapter so I can use this pole by threading it directly to the tripod mount on each of the cameras.I noticed that the thread on the pole side looked bit long. I tried on the LG camera and sure enough, it mounts solidly only by bottoming out on the mount hole on the camera side and not at the end of the pole side threads.I then tried with the cell phone adapter that came in the kit. The pole threads go about 1/8 inch past the end of the hole on the inside. There is a rubber grip that the phone mounts to but since the threads are deforming the floor of the cell phone mount, I'm not sure how securely it will hold. Worse yet, over time the rubber will wear and the sharp thread would come in direct contact with the phones when mounted.Solution would be to simply ground off about 1/8 off the end of the pole side mount threads.But what bothers me is that I just bought this brand new tripod yet I'm not able to fully and safely use it unless I perform modification to shorten the oversized mounting threads.I tried to contact Smatree customer service but all I can find is their Facebook page.I hope someone from Smatree reads these reviews and contacts me.Like I said, the tripod seems well made but for this obviously design flaw.Edit:I was able to contact customer service and their reply was prompt. The agent described a part that was to be installed between the threads on the pole and the phone adapter. It seems that the part is missing in my package so they offered to send me a whole new unit.So overall, I'm very pleased with the purchase experience. Awesome and prompt customer service and like I said in my earlier review the product seems very well made and is backed by the company.

I got my 9 yo a VanTop camera because he's interested in taking videos, and I didn't want to pay a fortune on something that he might easily break. I got this selfie stick/tripod to go with it so he had a easy way to film himself. The tripod is very stable (at least on flat surfaces) and easily held the weight of the extremely light camera even when fully extended. I was worried that it might not support the camera because it felt fairly flimsy when I was locking it in place. It might not support a heavier piece of equipment, but it was perfect for us. The accessories that came with the camera fit perfectly to attach it to the selfie stick. We'll see how it holds up, but I'm perfectly happy with my purchase so far. I'd give it 5 stars if it felt a bit more substantial, but really, that's my only complaint.

I love my pole! I have had my gopro attached to this since I purchased it. I was absolutely blown away at the quality of this pole. So whats in the box? I got the extendable pole, it already has the mount screwed in the top, and a tiny tripod that screws into the bottom. I use my pole without any extensions for support and without being extended this pole is about a foot long maybe 14 inches. Fully extended, I would say around 36-40 inches and the top has a ball joint that allows you to turn the camera in a full 360 rotation or tilt it to the side 90 degrees. This pole is very very sturdy and I have no fear of the screw coming loose or pole bending. The tripod on the bottom is made of metal believe that or not. It is not the sturdiest tripod ever, but on flat ground it will get the job done. I always back both of these items when I go out into the woods.PROS-extremely sturdy-useful in many situations-full camera adjustability-grip feels heavenly-very easy to operateCONS-construction doesn't allow for salt water useIf you're torn between this one and another stick, choose this one. I am absolutely happy with my purchase and use this pole almost everyday.

We used this the first time the other night and it worked perfectly. No complaints, worth the price for sure. It has a really easy release mechanism for lowering the tri-pod and lots of levels to choose from. The pictures below show it up against a standard door to give you an idea of how tall it gets and how short it goes. It has a strap on the bottom of the tri-pod for easy carrying of just the selfie stick. There is an attachment for a phone and the top swivels to be able to angle. The feet can be removed to make it into the selfie stick. It's also light enough to not be cumbersome and tiring to carry around. This would be perfect for those that do recipe or un-boxing videos as well as family gatherings, parties, sports etc.
