LD Products Compatible Toner Cartridge Replacement for Samsung ML-2850 Series ML-D2850B High Yield (Black) Compatible with Samsung ML-2851ND ML-2850D ML-2850 ML-2850DR ML-2851NDL ML-2851NDR

So far, this toner cartridge works fine--prints sharp and clear. I will post an update if it fails to live up to its billing at any point.

Thus far, I am please. I works, and most importantly the cartridge is what it is supposed to be. Something that every competing cartridge I've bought on Amazon since November was NOT.I buy only high capacity 2850B cartridges. Or intend to. This cartridge identifies itself as a 2850B in the both the ways that I can see using the printer's software. And my past experience with LD products was good. I'd get about 4000 pages and at least 2 months use out of these (printing dense text documents).All, and I repeat ALL, toners that have claimed to be high capacity 2850Bs purchased on Amazon since Nov 2014 have proved to be standard capacity 2850As. Further, of late the quality is such that half arrive defective and entirely unusable. All appear to be made by the same manufacturer in China. They are sold as "Bs" but clearly identify themselves as "As" to my printer. And provide about one-third the life that the "Bs" do.So, I am rather elated to have found an honest to goodness, real life high capacity "B" cartridge supplier.

This is a marvelous product if you wish to be covered in toner and waste an hour of your life. Product was received with no visual damage. Upon opening, found cartridge in sealed bag with a piece of thick paper wrapped around it and taped to the sides. Toner was everywhere on cartridge and now on my hands. Installed in printer which required a bit of force since the replacement cartridge width tolerances were not same as original. Multiple pages of uneven print quality and scattered aberrations that did not clear up with use. Called product support, but they were not helpful. Called Amazon who immediately issued credit and instructed me to throw the product in the trash. Ordered Samsung original cartridge and now completely happy.

I've owned a Samsung 2851ND since 2010. I have previously bought only Samsung Toner cartridges, but given the age I thought I'd experiment with one of the better known "compatible" versions. The fit is perfect. The driver thinks is is a Samsung ML-D2850B (5K) cartridge.My only concern is that the "product date" as reported by the driver software is "2014.07"-> 5 YEARS OLD, which exceeds the recommended storage of 2 years. When I bought Samsung cartridges, they were never more than 12 months old. This could be a vendor or manufacturer issue.I don't know if this will impact the useful life, but I have never gotten more than 80% of the rated life from the Samsung cartridges anyway (when reporting 20% remaining, they would streak output no matter how much they were "Stirred". I will update this review based on usage.Update Nov2021: After 2+ years, roughly 1200 pages have been printed and the the cartridge reports 60% available. The images are getting quite light, so I expect I will be replacing it soon with another LD cartridge. While the last Samsung ML-D2850B provided 4 years of service, I am not displeased with 2.Update June2023: Well the cartridge I purchased in 2019 needed to be replaced (printer reported no toner). I don't know how many pages I actually got but probably around 2000. The new cartridge, also a LD ML-D2850B replacement was also identified with the same "2014.07"-> 9 YEARS old manufacturing date. I wonder if it is just the chips that are that old. Anyway, 4 years and 2000 pages is nothing to complain about. I don't think I got any more when I was buying the Samsung brand at 4x the cost. This one "squeaks" a bit, but I don't feel like going through the trouble of returning it for another.

The cartridge fits perfectly and the printer works with it just fine. There have not yet been any paper jams. The second page that I printed scrunched the text at the upper portion of the page and it seems to happen on nearly 50% of the time with the first page printed on two-sided prints. A few of the pages have had black bands running the length of the page. All of the above issues also happened on my second OEM cartridge, so it may simply be a printer issue versus a cartridge failure, or some issue with the printer/cartridge interface that's typical even for OEM cartridges. The most notable downside is that the printing is at best dark gray instead of black. For the price, I guess that'll have to be good enough.

have yet to get a product that has not performed as good as oem.-- it's been 2 years now and I hope I wait in vain for smeary printing, leaking toner and premature failure that has characterized my prior experience with remanufactured cartridges.. Congratulations on producing a constantly good product. Selecting your starting materials so that they WILL perform rather than they "should work" and recognizing quality and having an interest in being known and appreciated for it.. Please don't give into today's so prevalent mindset "it's cheaper to replace a unit than to build it correctly with components selected with integrity". I got this for my printer when I ran out of toner and I'm happy with the price and haven't had any problems with it, printing double sided prints I very rarely ever get a paper jam but I don't print on this printer that often but when I do it is always a large print out (100+ pages at a time) so when I do run out of toner again I will have no reservations of buying this cartridge again.

Big Savings over buying from Manufacturer.
