Review for the Recliner Handle Lever Style Foot Rest Release Right /Left Hand Side w/ Star Shaped Hole Lazy Boy by Best Imported Products.I am very disappointed with this recliner handle! Last week the one on my La-Z-Boy swivel, rocker recliner broke. I am having guests this weekend so I ordered this replacement. The broken lever and the new lever both have star shaped holes. You can see from my picture that they are not exactly alike. The replacement doesn't fit on my chair. From other reviews it is obvious that the handle has worked for other people. I am including a photo of my chair. If you have the same style don't waste your time with this handle. It won't fit. Two of us worked to put it on, even to the point of trying to pound it on with a rubber mallet. No luck!! Now I have to return this and order one from La-Z-Boy. I hate returns and I really hate returns that are necessary because the product doesn't do what was advertised! I ordered this only because the Amazon listing said that it would fit La-Z-Boy recliners. Now I have to package it up and drive it to the UPS store. Like I don't have anything else to do!So enough ranting. As far as the quality of this handle goes it looks very much like my original. However I can't tell if it has the metal bar inside for reinforcement like the original has (See photo.). I do know that this handle had rusted inside the metal star shaped hole. I cleaned off as much of that as I could in hopes that it would then fit. In addition to this problem my handle did not come with the advertised Steel Set Screw.I will be taking off 2 stars because this doesn't fit as advertised and another star because of the rust and missing set screw.

So simple to replace handle and for just a few dollars, the foot rest works as good as new and don’t need to buy a new chair! Saved a lot of money!!!!

Fits perfect, use Allen wrench to tighten set screw(takes about a minute) then kick back and relax in your chair

The original handle was worn and broke in the middle, this was an easy fix, just pushed it on the star shape fitting, fit perfect!

The picture on Amazon makes the item look like it has a faux wood finish. It does not. The picture shows the broken original item that needed to be replaced and the Amazon item replacing it. The ordered item is heavy duty plastic, just like the original, but without the faux wood finish. (I can live with that since I'm looking for function, not fashion.) This order also came with a finish cap and a T30 Hex screw already screwed into the handle. Except for the color, this is a perfect replacement.

Looks like original. Great replacement for broken lever. Get replaced and get back to relaxing.

I have an older lazy boy that I bought in 1992, someone broke the handle, tried several different "replacements" that never fit. This one fits, and is the exact one that came with the chair originally.
