Opened My Eyes
Opened my eyesI commend Bret Oldham for this book. I too would give him a 5 star rating because of theindividuality and personal experiences that Bret shared in his story.I had often wondered about ET's. I have never experienced them myself, not that I remember anyway. The book "Children of the Greys" had been recommended to me to read. I was hesitant at first because I didn't know if I was ready for the truth. Well I found out the TRUTH. This book opened my eyes totally. I feel that Bret Oldham was very open, honest and extremely forth coming about his experiences with the Greys and his experiences with paranormal activities. I usually am not a book reader, but I finished this book in 5 days. It would have been less days but at times I had to put the book down because of my own feelings. I had an overwhelming feeling of sadness and symphony that hit me at times. The way Bret told his story was like talking to him face to face and feeling his pain, fear, frustration and overwhelming grief. The pit of your stomach ached. It is a well written truthful thriller. It kept you on your toes and you couldn't put it down for very long. You find yourself thinking about how you would handle these situations. The book "Children of the Grays" leaves you with some questions answered about ET's and then opens you up to even more questions than you have ever imagined. It is an "Eye opener of a book" and I highly recommend reading it. Even if you feel that you don't believe in the ET and paranormal activities at this time, you will when you get done with this book.I thank you Bret Oldham, for being a Brave, Strong and Unselfish human being in sharing your own personal experiences, no matter how painful they are, in the hope to help others. Awesome to you!

NOT A BEDTIME STORY . . . BUT COMPELLING AND REVEALING . . .
CHILDREN OF THE GREYS is not a bedtime story book. Clearly, since the "Greys" always seem to come in the middle of the night and snatch you right out of your cozy bed . . . the last thing you need for a peaceful night sleep is to be reading this book. Yet, the mystery and enigma of alien abduction is compelling and beckons the curious to read one more book on this subject. Bret Oldham says his story is from memory, without the boost of hypnotic regression to enhance the memory. This is good because it keeps the story from being diluted, or worst--enhanced by distortions that can result from hypnosis. I view this book as just one more testimony in the case of . . . what the Hell is going on with these Greys? Having a lifetime of reading on this genre behind me, I am always seeking new pearls of insights or gems of truth to reveal the greater reality behind the Greys. Plus, the useful correlations in this story that seem to confirm what others have experienced are welcome. Yet, the distraction of editorial flaws, which is too often typical of self-published work, slows the reader down and causes the flow of the story to stall occasionally. However, I sincerely applaud the author for the courage to endure, study, and reveal his lifetime of abduction encounters. I suggest he consider a re-edited version of this book and invest in a top-level editor to help. However, my greatest praise goes to the cover artist, Jeffrey Oldham, for his hypnotic image of a hybrid child . . . hard to look at . . . and impossible to ignore.

You're Not Alone.
Let's start out by agreeing that if you are reading reviews for Children of the Greys, you at least have some interest in the subject of UFOlogy and paranormal experiences. Perhaps you are curious about the author's claims, or about the abduction scenario. Maybe the subject makes you a bit uncomfortable...or brings up disturbing feelings you might not want to acknowledge. Or maybe you are struggling to understand and come to terms with your own encounters, no matter how crazy or delusional they may at first seem.If you are a true skeptic or simply want to point fingers and laugh at "the nut jobs" out there - go right ahead...We'll wait.Bret Oldham has taken a deep breath, stepped forward, and with obvious sincerity and insight, taken us down the dimly-lit path into his own abduction experiences. Re-told in a straightforward, matter-of-fact manner, the author immediately engages us emotionally in his life and his very first abduction memory at the age of five. The numerous experiences are gut-wrenchingly personal and at times hard to read. It's brutal. And honest. We follow the timeline from young child to present day man, and observe not only the physical manifestations of the unwanted alien presence in his life, but the deeply emotional and spiritual implications as well.As I read, at no time did I ever doubt that what I was reading was true. Bret had no need to defend what he had written - yet the book also offers evidence of tangible proof.I appreciated the fact that this book gives us no cut-and-dried answers on the abduction experience. The "whys" are still out there. Bret gives us plenty to contemplate and his own theories and speculations are well thought-out and extremely intuitive. It is also interesting to read the opinions of several seasoned UFO researchers on what is the real "Alien Agenda" in the latter half of the book and you may find yourself vindicated or disappointed in their views. No matter what your beliefs are before opening this book, you will have altered them in one way or another by the time you finish the last page. For those readers who have experienced their own abductions...or those readers who are coming to the realization that their suspicions may be true, be reassured that Bret's message is "These things are really happening. And you are not alone in experiencing them."Bravo to you, Bret.

Awesome!
This is one of the three published books by Bret I have read so far and I have found it wonferful. I am sure it took a lot of courage to write and would like to thank the writer for having done so. I agree with Bret on the Alian Agenda subject and think that his analysis makes the most sense. Great read. Can only recommend it.

Hard to put down
Very believable and well written. You have to feel for someone who has been through this for his entire life. Hopefully more people will have the courage to step up and tell of their experiences.

Riveting Account of Alien Abduction
I could not put this book down.... The personal account of a modern day abductee, had me mesmerized from beginning to end. Frightening and disturbing in its entirety but also refreshingly honest.... Providing indisputable proof to the question of are we alone in the universe. Highly recommended.
