I bought 4 of these for my entry. They look really great.

Love this. It looks fantastic and was perfect for my indoor ficus plant. I'm also thankful to all of those Amazon Customers that replied to my posted question. It has no hole in the bottom so it can be placed directly on a hardwood floor. Have to confess I did order a square plastic saucer to go under it just to be safe and you don't even notice it. If you want to order a square saucer for this make sure it is 10". The bottom is 8" and it fits perfectly into this 10" saucer.

UPDATE: It's now 2021, 3 years since my original review, and the pots still look like the day they arrived. They have held up to brutal Texas summers without fading or becoming brittle. I'm even more impressed now!These planters are exactly what I was looking for but didn't find locally. They look perfect in my small Asian "zen" garden. I partially filled them with some spare bricks, then I placed a hanging basket (with the hanger removed) down into the planter. I can easily change out the plants seasonally. And for the folks complaining about having to put drainage holes, I appreciate having that option. Imagine trying to seal the holes if you didn't want them. When I was trying to find a water-tight vessel in order to make a small fountain, every single one I found with the look I wanted had a large hole in the bottom.I would not have ordered planters this large on Amazon made of any breakable materials because I haven't had much luck with even mid-sized breakables surviving the journey. I like that they are made here in the US and that they have a 10-yr warranty. (Bet you can't find a clay or terracotta planter with a warranty!) I would feel better if they had been made using recycled materials, but I don't know if the finished product would be as nice.

I purchased this planter along with an artificial plant for my staging and design business. It enhances the beauty of the plant without detracting attention from it.

This planter looks really nice. The only reason I gave 4 starts instead of 5 is that it has a lip at the top edge. The lip gives the illusion that the pot is about an inch thick which is a good look once you have it filled with dirt and the dirt is higher than the lip. In other words, it has "faux" depth to the walls of the pot. The sides of the pot are actually thin but sturdy. I'm sure that's part of what makes it light weight. I don't like having a lip at the top because it can make it very difficult to pull a plant out if you want to repot it. If the plant roots have grown all the way to the side of the pot, they get caught under the lip. I assumed the pot would have straight sides so I was a bit disappointed to find the lip issue. The only other thing is that you have to drill a hole in the bottom yourself. I imagine they leave it undrilled in case you don't want a hole. I'm keeping it because it looks really good and fits perfectly with our front porch décor. I love the modern look of it. I'll just have to be careful not to leave a plant in it so long that it will get stuck when I go to repot.

would have given these 3.5 stars if possible. i was expecting a more rigid and textured plastic that resembled plaster or painted cement in appearance, but upon glance you can see that it's regular mold-formed plastic. they're still nice and are the shape and size i was looking for, but for what you're getting they should be half the price and amazon has larger and similarly constructed planters for half the price so i don't think i'll be buying these again

Love this planter! Very modern and practical.

I ordered this planter specifically to hold the plant you see in my photo and it perfectly achieved the look I was going for to add extra height to the tree and ground it visually. The planter arrived quickly and undamaged. As others have mentioned, I do think this is way overpriced for a plastic planter, but it's less expensive than buying it local. Because it is so lightweight, you will need to add weight to keep it from tipping over. If using for real plants, you will need to drill drain holes as it doesn't come with any. It is single wall construction. I'm very pleased with my purchase.
