The Story of Me: Babies, Bodies, and a Very Good God (God's Design for Sex)

Great
It was very clear & understandable for little kids. It’s written in kind of an odd way like you are reading a conversation that this family is having with each other. I had to tell my kids “this is the daddy talking now” or “the little boy is asking his mom this question”. But other than that we loved the actual information presented.

A necessity! HIGHLY Recommend.
I am so happy to have been introduced to this series. It has been a great tool to help me unfold the marvel and mystery of God's great creation in our bodies and procreation. These books have beautifully illustrated pages that make the content seem approachable, but not overwhelming. The story line in each of the books is perfect for each stage in a kid's life. The age ranges are a good guide, but kids may be ready for a book sooner or later depending on their maturity, curiosity and/or life experiences. It's been easy to read this book with my son (who's now 6). He loved it from day one! We've also read the second book in the series and the details of birth that are shared in that book did not intimidate him at all. He has accepted everything I've taught him with the help of these resources and is satisfied and grateful for our bodies and for how God made us to fulfill His purposes. I know I'm laying a good foundation for later in his childhood when he will be exposed to so many un-truths by his peers and culture at large. I'm thankful for a tool like this series. Highly recommend.

Great Book
I love the dialogue way to describe where I am from and how God created me. This is a really nice book recommended by our church friend, my 3 year old boy likes to read it.

Mostly great, birth part was meh
It’s age appropriate and written well, but there’s a part when talking about c sections that was meh. They said that because the baby was breech it wasn’t safe for mom and baby which isn’t necessarily true. You can still give birth vaginally and safely with a breech baby if you have a trained midwife. Medical doctors are not trained on breech delivery or natural forms of flipping baby because big pharma makes more money off doing c sections. This view makes it seem like God’s design isn’t good enough. I do think we should include c sections in here for when there’s an actual emergency or some people just choose to do them which is fine, but saying it in the way they did just rubbed me the wrong way and I had to explain to my kids during that part of the book that that isn’t always true.

Age appropriate, great tool to guide parents
This was a wonderful tool to start the process of discussing sex, reproduction, relationships, and love with my kids. I really appreciate the bite-sized pieces of information for this young audience. The pictures were great and this helped spark more conversations between my son and me. It's important to me that he learn Bible based values of marriage, the science of the reproductive process, and the intricacies of relationships from ME, his parent, and not the kids at school. I want to guide and answer questions so I'm starting these conversations early. I found this book very helpful. Take the time to read the guide in the front. We also bought the next book so we are prepared and ready for when he is ready for more information. I wish my parents had used tools like this book series for educating me about God's plan for sex, relationships, and love.If you are not a believer in God, this series probably isn't for you. It is totally scientifically accurate, but in child-sized bites that progress with age, and always within the context of God's plan for families and marriage.

Highly recommend for soon to be big sister/brother
We read this with our four year old daughter who was soon to become a big sister, and it definitely helped her understand everything going on with moms body, baby, and the idea of us heading to the hospital soon to have baby. Super helpful as a starting point for any questions she might have.

We love it, it’s base on Bible. Tell the truth, it’s give our parents an idea how to educate our kids about sexuality for three years old kids. Simple easy to understand.
